  1. It was an interesting experience ONCE. I enjoyed it although I don't eat much of what was served. I personally wouldn't pay for it. It is impossible to know when and if it will become a paid venue and at what cost.
  2. It sounds like perhaps the bonus gift cards you get through Princess on Holidays like Mothers day would be non refundable NOT the cards you paid for. Those bonus cards also have expiration dates which paid for cards do not.
  3. It clearly states new bookings only in the post #7 right above the words A BIG in the picture
  4. It's all about the price and value. I have a cruise booked for next year and the Reserve Class is $100 PP PD. Poor value. I think I'll go to specialty dining a few times and save a bundle when I back down to a regular Mini.
  5. I cruised Alaska last month out of Vancouver. We stayed at the Pan Pacific Hotel which is on the Canada Place pier. I flew in so didn't park a car but they do have parking available in some packages designed specifically for cruisers. You will not need transportation to the ship since you're steps away from the embarkation area which is a savings. Also they will take your luggage to the ship on the morning of embarkation. It's super convenient but slightly expensive to stay there. Remember when you see their prices in Canadian dollars that our dollar is stronger and the exchange rate is significant in our favor.
  6. I can't speak to your port but here in Los Angeles my full size suitcase fits through the scanner so I take all my luggage on board with me. My guess is all scanners are similar in size. I would suggest you take it with you and if for any reason it doesn't fit they will take it from you to bring on board so you have nothing to loose by trying.
  7. The white satin sleep bag in suites is no longer available. The blue tote bags are gone. The gold up graded bathroom amenities are gone. Q-Tips are gone. Pad of paper and pen gone. Pillow chocolates gone.
  8. It looks better then it tastes. The shrimp and scallops look under cooked and the meat looks dry and tough. The desserts are beautiful.
  9. I love the idea of deck 9 for the buffet. It's a middle deck of the ship so those on lower decks have easier access.
  10. There wasn't last month on my Alaska Cruise on the Grand
  11. And that costs us $110 PP PD which is already over priced
  12. My next cruise the price difference between a regular mini and a reserve mini is $110 Per Person Per day. That's more then enough extra for Princess to handle tipping. Tipping has gotten out of hand and it's usually we Americans that have caused other countries and crew to expect more and more tipping.
  13. I do it online. In the personalizer there is a place to mark robes in room. The web personalizer works perfectly but if you prefer to fight the app by all means do so.
  14. I would go to a dollar store and buy a bunch of decorations and a roll of tape. When they are out of their cabin go over the top to decorate their cabin to make it impressive.
  15. I can think of better ways to spend $10 so I picked mine up at the pier and it took less then 5 minutes.
  16. It was deck 6 mid ship Starboard side. It is a roped off section of the dining room. The entrance has a crew member who verifies you're in reserve class and then seats you.
  17. Now that everyone has posted and will buy these gift cards AARP or Princess will reduce the benefit or severely limit the number you can buy. Sometimes it pays to not advertise a perk because it gets taken away.
  18. The more people share how to minimize Princess' profit the more these perks will disappear. Let's not keep giving them ideas of what perks to take away.
  19. Having been in club class on the Caribbean Princess recently I can confirm it was deck 6 starboard side. It has a sign for club class only. People who try to enter are told to go to the port side for entrance to their dining room.
  20. Club class is reserve class now. It is a roped off section of the main dining room. Mini suite guests do NOT have club class/reserved dining unless they booked that section of mini suites mid deck 9 specifically and paid the extra. On the Caribbean Princess reserve class is in the Coral Dining room Deck 6
  21. How does this gloom and doom help the OP? The enroute number I have 800-545-0008 or 661-284-4410 Good Luck
  22. Like all other perks when people post about them it disappears due to it's own success.
  23. Disliked Sur La Mur so this is something new to try if it's priced right. If they move it to Sabitini's spot I will forgo any Sabitini's again because I hated the Sur location.
  24. It's the solution so no option. Call first thing in the morning when they open for the fastest hold time.
