Not much activity since the February update, but there are a few gaps in sailing schedules so I have included most of them as 'Possible Charter' until more information can be found. For any errors, I apologise in advance! Rotterdam cruise terminal is quite small and there probably is already a ship in Rotterdam that day.

It is mentioned on the current 'Charters' thread.

We were also disappointed that the disembarkation day room service breakfast was not offered on recent cruises. Probably just not possible to offer an adequate breakfast service with the reduced staff numbers. I suppose if I had to make a choice between room service breakfast on disembarkation morning versus stateroom being ready when I board, then room being ready would be the winner.

Rotterdam is moving!

That would be people like me with an evening flight back across the pond 🤫 Glad you mentioned this as we would never have thought about how us being slow to disembark could impinge on the plans of others.

Hi Ann, Enjoying your posts! Out of interest do you know if Room Service breakfast was available this morning (turnaround day)?

In Europe I use a hybrid 'system' for additional tips. For room service I use US Dollars (we keep a stack of ones after each N American based cruise for this purpose). For the Room Stewards, if it is early in the season, we leave Euro and if it is late in the season we leave US Dollars. However I am sure that they will gratefully accept either. On a side note, the smallest Euro note is a five euro (currently about $6 value) so for smaller amounts you would need to use coins. I have not had coins in my pocket since Covid and their use has greatly diminished in that period. (There is also a perception that coins are 'small change' and not so valued as notes) Also, the use of Euro notes has greatly diminished as 'Tap & Go' and mobile wallets have changed the way currency is used over here.

Thank you for a brilliant suggestion. For our next cruise we have HIA and a lotta OBC, so it may very well be matching robes. (sweet!)

Last couple of cruise embarkation/disembarks we have stayed in Mestre, simply because of the easier access and not having to drag suitcases over bridges or cobbles. Venice at night is wonderful, but during the day it is so busy as to be uncomfortable. Even trying to exit the hotel onto the street can be a struggle during the peak season. In OP'S situation, for one night, I would very much stay in Mestre. Hotel room should be ready when they arrive from Trieste. Throw baggage in room, quick freshen up, and get a taxi to Piazza Roma.

Taxis - yes, tours - no. only HOHO buses. If you know where you want to go, then a taxi will take you (eg Alcazaba in Malaga), but it will be a straight drive there and drop you. Very high chance the driver will have zero conversational English.

There is no train station at Venice Marco Polo airport. The airport may be close to the train but the stations are located at Venice Mestre (10 kms) or Venice Santa Lucia (14 kms). https://www.veneziaairport.it/en/transport/train.html

Yes, to Trieste Airport. For VCE Venice Marco Polo, it is necessary to take a train to Venice Mestre and then transfer to bus or taxi. There is no direct train service to VCE airport.

United do not fly Athens to Munich, so it was booked on a codeshare with another airline. Are you only flying as far as Munich? Or are you booked Athens - Munich - USA? If the latter, and Munich is not important to you, ask United or your Travel Agent to reroute you will a later departure from Athens. As mentioned by @SFCAcruiserthere is a flight at 12.55 and another at 15.25 operated by Aegean Airlines. There are seats available on both these flights.

Probably purchase it ashore for $30 and add $20 corkage and you have your 50% discount.
