  4. I finally received a communication from Princess ! The email was regarding the new covid policy. 1st one since last year , which was about the "new" packages for our upcoming cruise. Nice to see they haven't completely forgotten us. Cheers, Buzz.
  5. On the Princess board , people are, finally, receiving emails, from Princess, outlining the changes. At last some official communication. Unfortunately some of the emails do not correctly show the packages people have purchased either upgraded or not. Guest Services are going to be really swamped for the first few days of each sailing.Cheers, Buzz.
  6. My experience of changing from the pre December 2022 Premier package to new Premier package this year was indeed completed by using my cruise personaliser page. My credit card was charged the difference immediately. It showed up on a new Travel Summary too. The only catch was a phone call from Princess Sydney Office, couple of days later, stating I had to pay an outstanding amount or my cruise would be cancelled ! Questioning this, I was told I owed an amount to update my already paid deposit to a new amount. They were very patient with me while explaining the issue. I duly paid the amount via cruise personaliser and was issued a new set of documents showing the new payments. Cheers, Brian.
  7. Princess prizes has gone from our Premier Package inclusions too. It shows in Travel Summary but not in onboard packages. So many changes at Princess at the moment. I am hoping for an email or two to show how our package is affected. I agree, with some others , that any "improved" changes should be grandfathered into those packages already purchased.   9. After reading through all 39 pages, I wish I had my wife's attitude to all the changes announced. My wife could care less and hasn't even asked what ship we are sailing on soon. I was telling her about the changes and her eyes glazed over with disinterest. I overthink these things lol. Cheers, to all, Buzz.

  11. Hello, Princess ships now all berth at the container terminal. They offer a free shuttle to the visitor information centre.Being an industrial area , you are not allowed to walk off the ship and wander about. Once at the centre, all manner of day trips are offered by local businesses or you can just wander off into town. Have fun, cheers, Buzz.
  12. I had a balance owing issue too. I upgraded my old premier package to the new premier package on cruise personaliser. Noted my final payment amount had increased by the expected amount. Then I received a phone call from the local Princess office stating I owed $164 as my deposit amount had increased. I was not sure if this was a genuine call or not. I then received an email stating my cruise would be cancelled if outstanding amount remained unpaid. I made the payment on cruise personaliser and quickly received the email with updated deposit paid. I printed out the cruise summary, which showed all is correct ! Cheers, Buzz.

  14. We don't have the option of home delivery in Australia , pick up at embarkation only. Would be great to pump up the excitement level by receiving something in the post instead of all online.Thank you for sharing. Cheers, Buzz.
  15. We have stayed at Shangri-La and found the walk up and down the steep hill to the hotel difficult to manage , with or without luggage. Horizon Club rooms are great. Separate check in area upstairs for Club guests and an awesome lounge with views.

  17. Thank you very much for your insight. I upgraded our existing premier package to the "new" premier package a little while ago. The app showed " you have no packages ". I live chatted Princess , who said they could see it on their end and not to worry. I did worry, until today , after seeing your post and following your advice. I printed the travel summary and bingo it is all there ! Cheers, Buzz.
  18. We have stayed at this Rydges before our last two cruises. Perfect location before a cruise. Old , plain accomodations but good enough for one night. Not available for March 2024, so I apparently bought a share of the Four Seasons Hotel instead. It had to be a full harbour view room , with breakfast for us, so they didn't miss us tariff wise !   21. I used the live chat feature at the bottom of the Princess web page. I am in Australia. Some one replied promptly and were able to help with some payment and deposit issues I was having at the time. The live chat people seem , in my case, to be able to do a lot more than the call centre staff. Cheers, Buzz.

  23. I just had an interesting chat with the Medallion Class Support Team on 1300551853, I called from Australia. Option 2 takes you to the right people. The team member's voice sounded like coming from inside a coke can and was difficult to understand at first but improved as the call continued. I was asking about continually being bounced between green and blue lanes in ocean ready. My Ocean Ready was indeed complete and I was informed it must be a "glitch" on their end. My request has been referred to a " higher level" but I was to rest assured all would be fixed ! We will see. Cheers, Buzz.
  24. Same here , says server problems. When I did get to log in , we had changed from green lane to blue lane ,,,,,,,, again ! It is an interesting experience alrighty. Cheers, Buzz.
