That sounds about right. The dimensions on the Delta seats will change a bit depending on the aircraft, with the size you quoted being the max for narrowbodies, assuming that's what OP will end up on (for example some of the 737s are 34" x 17.2").

The Spirit BFS is basically akin to a domestic first class seat as far as pitch and width goes. No extra perks beyond that, but it's a good hard product.

Then, I would probably select Spirit for a party of 2

I never used the side jets just the rainfall shower above - great shower.  The bath is not a jacuzzi just an extremely deep round bath and with me being 5foot 2 I could hardly see the view outside.

OK, let me clarify. A few years ago we stayed in a hotel in SLC, and DW visited their spa. There was a special water jet room with strong jets from all four sides, a rain shower and perhaps also from the floor. She says those jets made a tremendous job to massage and alleviate muscle pain. Much better than a jacuzzi. This is why I am thinking about the spa suite.

About its balcony: I looked at numerous images and it appears to me that the spa suite balcony is approximately the same size as that of a continental suite. At least the furniture seems similar. Am I wrong?

    Thanks

I have stayed in the spa suite  and also club continent suite x 3 (I travel solo).  I personally would not pay the extra for the spa suite as yes the bathroom area is huge  with a very deep bath (which takes forever to fill), the bedroom area to me seemed a lot smaller than the continent suite.  The balcony too on the spa suite is very small, the balcony furniture being two small chairs and a coffee table, so not suitable for eating breakfast outside.

So how would you characterize the side jets - are they strong or so-so?

    Thanks!

The reason the Pride of America does not have a casino, or duty free shop, is not because it is US flag.  It does not have a casino because it never leaves Hawaii, and Hawaii does not allow casinos.  It does not have a duty free shop because it never leaves the US.  A US flag ship that made a cruise like the foreign flag ships do to Hawaii from the West Coast, could have both a casino and a duty free shop.

Sorry for offtop, but we have a question for you @chengkp75 on Azamara forum ("structural vibrations"). Would much appreciate your input

  5. This question is primarily for @chengkp75

There are reports on strong vibrations when a former Renaissance ship (all Azamara's + R-class on Oceania) go at full speed, attributing those vibrations to the ship propulsion. With that, based on the posted reviews, there is anecdotal evidence that the vibrations diminish as you go up: the strongest vibrations would be at the Owners Suites on deck 6, while on deck 8 they seem to be less noticeable.

I wonder if this can actually be the case from the structural mechanics point of view. Won't the vibration freely propagate throughout the metal construction without ant dampening?

    Thanks

  6. Would like to follow up..

    - "Own sealed corridor" - does it mean it has key entry, so only those staying in 9000-9002 can enter?

    - Another question related to "also you have your own private door to spa area" - so you can get to the spa during its opening hours only, right? If so, can you use the spa's front section as, say, a communal balcony to get the front view? E.g., while approaching a harbor?

    - Lastly, for the shower jets - it looks like there are three side jets on either side - how strong are they?

If someone experienced an NCL's 2BR haven (H6?) with a bathroom ocean view - how do the bathrooms compare?

    Thanks!

  7. Considering sailing in September 2023, Southampton to Lisbon. It looks like this itinerary is popular and thus being repeated almost every year. I have a few questions for those that sailed this itinerary and will appreciate any input.

DW has mobility problems, she is using a cane and can negotiate 2-3 not very steep steps, so we usually require wheelchair assistance for her to embark/disembark. With this in mind, I heard that the port of Bordeaux can be especially challenging because of the tides that can make the gangway very steep.

Question 1: can there still be wheelchair assistance at the gangway?

Main pool: it looks like the only way down to the pool is by a very steep ladder.

Question 2: is this correct? If yes, do they offer a special lift?

Cabin. Thinking about some splurging. That is, the spa cabin seems to have a fantastic bathroom with numerous massaging jets. Yet, it appears that the view from the balcony is somewhat obstructed (by a tender?). Also, it is not clear where to eat a room service breakfast as all the tables look tiny, and we usually order room service on port days. Given the small size of the ship we could potentially just go to the cafe, but not sure how crowdy it is on a port day. OTH, the owners suite isn't much more expensive, and you get a fantastic very private balcony. But, the bathroom looks meager for a top suite, and I am not clear if another bathroom is available on Journey or only on Pursuit/Onward. DW isn't small by any means and she might have difficulties using a "regular" walk-in shower.

Question 3: which cabin of the two would you suggest for our specific circumstances?

    Thanks in advance,
