In Anchorage Glacier Brewhouse is very popular and needs reservations. Mooses Toothe for pizza is another one. Most restaurants in Anchorage are very busy on the weekends and I would consider reservations. Sorry I can't help you out with the other locations.

Has anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on 10th Ave.? Was wondering how convenient that was. Restaurants,grocery store, etc.

After all the problems you have had with MSC but you still go back for more. Your excuse is " you love the product". Customer service is part of the product! Maybe just book another cruise with them and see if they do it right next time.

I think you misunderstood me. I want to go from Phillipsburg (Dutch side) to Marigot (French side) for 3-4 hours for shopping and lunch. Thanks for your response.

How far is it from Phillipsburg to Marigo? About how much would a taxi cost to take us there round trip? Would just like to go shopping there and possibly lunch as we have never been there.

If you decide to ship it home it is very expensive.

My one and only past experience with MSC is you don't get what you are supposed to get but get what they decide to give you. That is why I don't cruise with them anymore!

Years ago I took the ferry from Homer to Kodiak Island and It continued on to Dutch Harbor. Most of the people got off at Kodiak because of the high seas. I believe there were 16' waves and a lot of people got sick. I guess that is why they called the ship the "vomit comet".

Yes i now knw that they changed it between when I booked the cruise and when I went on it. Why did they continuosly lie to me then? There were other incidents where they lied to me leaving no remedy to the situation. How can you pay them money for something unknown and up to their choice, right or wrong.

Just a word of warning. Years ago when the Seaside was launched I was excited to go on this new ship so I booked a 7 day out of Fla. Being that I and my wife were status matched to Black, one of the benefits was a specialty dinner for two for each of us. I booked both reservations on the ship and I was assured that this was the case. Before the second dinner I was again assured by the waiter and his supervisor that the dinner would also be free. The next day I checked my account and noticed a charge for the second dinner. Went to GS and explained the situation. Their only response was "there must of been some misunderstating ". This was not the only incident of them charging me for items which were to be free with the same GS answer as above. This really ruined a vacation which we thought was to be great. I can't believe these pirates still get away with lying to and fleecing people and they keep going back for more.

I'm confused. On the RC board they are posting "as of March 3 each person is allowed to carry on 1 bottle of wine. On X it is 2 bottles per person?

I experienced the sewer smell on Seaside and the answer from GS was there were no rooms available, After telling them I would be getting off at first port and they would be refunding me for the cruise and my transportation home they magically found me a room, That was just the start of the problems. One and done!

When in Alaska I usually bike (or walk) the coastal trail. There is a great view of Cook Inlet and some interesting homes along the way. Parts of it are wooded and almost always a Moose ( or two ) will be spotted. Also you pass the airport and can watch planes land and take off. There is a food truck at the park and some restuarants are walkable from there. Makes for an interesting day.

Will be sailing on the Nox in Oct. Haven't sailed in 3 yrs. and wondering what shape the ship is in. Also where is the Elite breakfast held in? TIA

Thanks for the reply. We stayed there in 2019 and it was in pretty bad shape. It is in a convenient location and wonder why they don't do something . Would rather pay more for a place we feel more comfortable in.

Any response on the condition of Embassy Suites FLL ?

It's funny because he bumped the side of the tent before he tore the top off. DNR measured between puncture wounds and estimated him to be 300-350#. A little bit out of my weight class!
