  1. Since you mentioned being almost half way through your cruise, I was going to ask if you had put the dessert problem on your mid-cruise review? The mid-cruise reviews seem to get lots of quick attention, since they are looked at by all the departments.
  2. Never heard a sound from the theater. It is on decks 4 and 5. But now looking at the deck plan, I guess that is the ceiling of the theater.! Whatever it is, it's quiet! Wouldn't hesitate to take 719!
  3. Looking at doing a Bordeaux river cruise on either Scenic or Ama in April 2023. We just got back from a great Scenic cruise on the Douro, but have not tried Ama before. We are foodies and love wine tasting. Scenic would be 11 nights on the Diamond, and Ama would be 8 nights on the AmaDolce with pre and post cruise excursions. Opinions?
  4. We were surprised that even the Azure, which is the newest Scenic ship, there were no USB plugs! And all European outlets which wasn't too surprising. Reception was able to lend us an extra converter. But ask early if you need one, as they run out!
  5. Agree with Host Jazzbeau on this. It was like pulling teeth to get Scenic office to tell our TA that we indeed would get a transfer. I think a couple of days before the cruise in the email with the transfer tickets it actually named a time. However, once on the ship, everything changed for the better! CD informed us the first day what our transfer time to the airport would be when we got back to Porto. Even though I had a 5:30 a.m. transfer, they had a light breakfast set up for our group! Friends who had a 2:30 a.m. transfer were even given a box breakfast for their trip! Everyone else got regular breakfast in the dining room.
  6. Just came back from my first Scenic cruise on the Douro in Portugal. They have 3 Scenic buses there that are used for all excursions. Every excursion required a bus. Also the CD and two of his staff served as guides on all excursions except for the one in Spain (due to Spanish rules). All 3 were excellent! All crew on the Douro are from Portugal. Can others chime in on Scenic in other countries?
  7. Just ask at reception for ear phones. They had them on the Azure on the Douro.
  8. You may change your mind after you cruise. We certainly had no response or help pre-cruise from the Scenic office, including claiming that they wouldn't help with required covid testing. It took our TA several long calls to even get them to tell her what hotel we would be staying in! (Just came back from the Wonderful Douro and Lisbon pre-cruise.) BUT..... once we started on our pre-cruise stay, everything changed. Staff both on the pre-cruise and on the ship itself were VERY helpful and well informed! Nothing was too much trouble. Food and drinks were excellent. Excursions were excellent with Scenic guides on each one. So, now I'm looking at the Bordeaux cruise on Scenic for next year!
  9. Hope you did a review on Suite Guru! Top post on the Regent Forum, go to first page, and second post contains link to spreadsheet to fill out. Then you do a comment on the last page of the topic and upload the comment spreadsheet. Then UunetBill will kindly add it to the Splendor part of the spreadsheet. Make sure you say what ship in your comment or on the filename or both.
  10. I was on Splendor for the TA in April. I had a terrible constant high frequency vibration in 932. Moved to 717 and we were very happy! Chatted with one of the engineers and neither of us could come up with a logical explanation for why that particular area had a problem. I walked up and down the hall on deck 7 a lot going to the gym on 6, and didn't come across any area of concern. FYI, the first pinned post on this Forum is the "Suite Guru", so you might want to check Splendor and Explorer for reviews on the suite you are looking at.
  11. Someone on FB RSSC Social Club posted the recipe for this, and several people chimed in that they have ordered a bowl of it for their appetizer!
  12. And we were on Splendor on April 5 for TA and there was sake. I had been looking for the sake tasting too, boblerm, but no such luck.
  13. It is the other number in the email. One is "FORM CODE" (6 digit number) and one is "FORM IDENTIFIER" (longer and has lower case letters)
  14. CRN-013 Horses and Flavors of Cartagena (Binoculars and two walking guys) IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Lunch is not included in this tour, only tastings of local appetizers. Participants must be at least 18 years of age to consume alcohol. Drive to a local horse finca - a traditional Spanish farm (approx. 15 min.). Show with Lipizzaner and Andalusian horses and tasting of local produce (approx. 2hrs15min). Panoramic tour of Cartagena (approx. 30 min). Drive back to the pier (approx. 15min).
  15. Just discovered these a few days ago! Someone else said they are iron on! Agree that I should buy whatever they stick them on with. My question is, "what if I don't get them all off before I sail again? Will suite 717 get some of my laundry instead of me in 842?"
