  1. Love this spot on Splendor, and looking forward to trying it next week on Explorer. Was told it is called "The Patio".
  2. If you are also on FB, search "Tom Little" in the RSSC group. He did a terrific "Tips" post awhile back.
  3. Or as one of of guides in Denmark told us he does, save the dollars for his next trip to visit family in the U.S.
  4. Boarding in Vancouver for the first time next Wednesday (usually sail Seward to Vancouver), so can someone run me through the boarding at Canada Place? We will be staying at Sutton Place downtown, so will take a taxi to Canada Place with our luggage to board. Assume taxi drops off right outside Canada Place. Where do we hand off our luggage? I seem to remember reading something about taking an elevator up to do luggage drop off then going back down to do check in and boarding? Thanks for the help!
  5. Coming out of the "Regent bubble" can be quite shocking! (My son-in-law commented on the same thing coming off Disney Cruise last week - rude people out in the "real world".)
  6. I was reluctant too, and stuck to the launderette for several cruises for my non-dry items. Then in October I was on a Med cruise on Splendor with daily ports and excursions..... so, trusted the wonderful laundry team to follow instructions I wrote at the bottom with a thank you, and everything was perfect! No more launderette for me! I too love coming home with a suitcase full of clean clothes!
  7. Here is my picture of a Navigator shower.
  8. Just leave a note on the desk for your attendant with your request. I hand them a note even when I see them in person!
  9. It is much smaller than the Splendor shower!
  10. Been on 3 great cruises on Navigator: Alaska (7 days), Amazon (24 days), Norway/Scotland (21) days and have loved them all. Looking forward to Iceland and Greenland on Nav in August. My cruise buddy has not been on Navigator (been on Mariner and Splendor), so wondering what she will think! I was so concerned, that I sent her a picture of the shower before we decided to book the cruise!
  11. Did a one month trip including a TA on Splendor, a few days in Barcelona, a few days in Madrid, a few days at Alhambra, then on to Lisbon and a river cruise. Planned to do laundry at hotel in Lisbon (they SAID they had a laundry room). Alas, laundry room hadn't re-opened after Covid, so concierge suggest a laundromat just a "short walk" from the hotel. We piled all the dirty clothes into one of our roller suitcases and headed out. Most memorable "short walk" ever on cobblestones! Who knew they could be so tricky!
  12. I always get Baileys, and I am in a standard suite.
  13. Were they holding up their arms? That is how children cross a street in Okinawa.
  14. We are on this cruise too. Just checked my flights on American, and they have not changed. I depart YVR at 1:30. I've been in some really long check in lines at YVR, because they don't allow you to check your luggage until 2 (?) hours before the flight.
  15. In the 9 cruises I've done with Regent so far, I have not had an upcharge. I do the deviation at 210 days out ($175) and also fly from a non-gateway city ($250), but those are the only charges I pay. I think you have 3 days to accept their proposed route, or ask for a change. Also, you can have them book your flight arrival up to 30 days before embarkation, and return up to 30 days after debarkation. Can even use other airports (debarked in Barcelona, flew home from Lisbon 3 weeks later).
  16. Family Mart for the win! The hot and cold foods there are very good if you just want a very light meal.
  17. I've used Google maps when leaving the hotel, and just put ship name into it. Worked like a charm in Copenhagen. Just show to the driver.
  18. Agree! I now read all the "ads" every day. First time on Splendor the only mention of the grand Sunday brunch was in an "ad". Many people didn't know about it. Wasn't even mentioned on the morning show.
  19. Oh, boy, this will keep me busy everyday until I sail at the end of April!
  20. HINT: if you do get off the ship for a B2B, carry your passport with you! In November, I was on a turn around in Athens and opted to do an excursion. We were told we would only need our key card. By the time our excursion was headed back to Port, Regent called the guide to tell her that Greece changed their minds, and we would need our passports! Most of us had them in our suite safe. Meant a long walk back onboard, retrieve the passport, go back down and go through regular check in at Port. Even those who did not leave the ship had to go down and check in through the Port.
  21. You will get 1/2 of the air credit if you do your own flights one way. Always do this when I have one domestic (Miami) and one intercontinental (Barcelona). Works like a charm.
  22. Agree the George Inlet excursion with the cruise of the inlet and the Crab Feast at the lodge is fantastic, and use to be a free excursion. Now there is a charge to get the two together with it. $119. The Crab Feast by itself at the lodge is a free excursion though. I loved the cruise and Crab Feast on my last two trips to Ketchikan. It would be a great way to spend Onboard Credit.
  23. Agree with all SusieQft said about the salmon bake. We took a look and turned around and went back to the ship.
