  1. Why don't they just add a feature to the ap that people with those packages can reserve a seat up to 30 mins prior to show starting and then once that mark passed any unreserved can be released.
  2. I live in Australia. Born in New Zealand I've tasted decent lobster. However, the stuff they serve on the ship is nothing to rave about.
  3. It wasn't working yesterday. But working today. I just logged in.
  4. Lobster overrated. I don't know why people go ga ga over it.
  5. You really can't compare cruising Carnival with Princess. You pay a lot more to cruise on Princess than Carnival. I never really been overly fond of the food served on Princess or Carnival. Which is probably a good thing. I never starved though. I did like International Cafe on Princess. But I guess that what you pay extra $$ in cruise fare for. Carnival were selling off their cabins pretty cheap with lots of OBC. We cruise on Splendour on 21 August and have 1000 OBC to spend.
  6. I think Princess up the corkage cause too many were bringing boxes of wine on board and Princess sees that they potentially losing revenue.
  7. Especially when you have to add in expensive and looooong flights from Land of oz.
  8. Thanks for the updates. Now just wanting on the pricing. Cause I don't want to get all excited about it and then discover the pricing sky high.
  9. I paid $2400 NZ return in 1988. So not bad in comparison. But they have been cheaper πŸ™‚
  10. Well at least when its included in the fare they guaranteed to get something. I always tip above what is included in fare. I know that the main people who score tips are bar staff, stateroom staff, coffee makers etc. But I like to tip the bathroom attendants cause I reckon they have one of the shittest jobs on the ship.
  11. Also another thought. I wonder how much Disney Cruises are sucking out cruisiers who would have travelled on other lines for the opportunity crusing Disney. See they might have taken one or two on another line. But decided to take one expensive one on Disney since its a novelty.
  12. Nah. All from Sydney. Nothing happening of interest from Melbourne.
  13. Welcome back. We have done four cruises since everything started back and have four more booked with the next one due to go in August 2023.
  14. I wanted to cruise on Disney, but Pete said no. It was for kids and did I want to be around all those kids. . .
  15. So much to see in the CBD. They have beautiful walks along the Yarra, parks, botantical gardens, Shrine of Remberance, Art Gallerys etc. Some nice restaurants down Southbank (river side) too. St Kilda would be a good place to stay, but I would stay in CBD and that way you can ultise the free tram network. https://whatson.melbourne.vic.gov.au/things-to-do
  16. Avoid peak buffet times or get up really early when first opens (just not on port day). Go later on. Same with dining don't go the 6 pm - 7pm time. Try later after 7.30 pm. Order room service breakfast.
  17. Depends on your flight time and the day to consider which transportation. Options are 1. Princess transfer - can be a lot of waiting around 2. Cab - can be quick if traffic is light 3. Train - but you have to haul all your luggage, buy your ticket. So factor that in. 4. Walk - allow a lot of time. But you get a hearty workout burns off all those calories consumed on ship πŸ˜„
  18. That why PO Australia or cruiselines should do package deals that includes flights.
  19. My partner had brought a new suit for the cruise but he was delighted he only had to wear it once when we went to the speciality restaurant πŸ˜„
