Uh oh. The answer of who the bad influence is is becoming clearer.

How much more strongly can we all get that worded?

Today was totally unnecessary. While all of this travel to Miami was going on for “The Tribe Cruise,” I had to dress up in a suit and attend a dedication ceremony in the city where I live. There were 5 mayors (1 current and 4 past), current and former council members, City managers current and past, school superintendents and school board members and state representatives, just to mention a few of the dignitaries. I was appointed to a fairly high profile volunteer position within the City, so I didn’t have much choice but to attend. I’m home, dressed more comfortably and ready to follow all of the shenanigans while drinking my own beers.

Several years ago I was on a flight that had Hunter Hayes and his band on it. He proceeded to do an impromptu video while playing on of his songs. I had an ever so brief cameo on it.

You really don’t like the cold, do you? I can’t say I’ve ever set my heater to 81 inside my car.

I haven’t even reached 500 posts since I signed up in 2011. I just did some quick math. I have posted about 36.5 times per year since I joined. At that rate, it would take me just under 274 years to reach 10,000 posts. I’m pretty sure I won’t make it.

I think I’m laughing even more knowing that there’s a script and thinking it’s a good idea to bring pre-filled syringes through TSA without said script.

Will someone please explain to me what it means to be “wet with tequila.” I can’t tell if that’s a good or bad thing.

I guess it would be funny if I knew what a wegovy was. (After doing a search of the online encyclopedia, I now wonder how it would be a good idea to try and get those through TSA screening without any sort of script.)

I took this at Coral World on Coke Beach in 2013. No, this was not zoomed in. It let me get the camera this close. The last 2 pictures were on the Powerboat Adventures excursion while we vacationed at Atlantis in 2006. One of the stops was a small beach filled with iguanas that we fed grapes to off sticks.

I guess every family has to have one. Me? I can tell you where we went on vacation each year since 2003 (cruises as well as land), which ship, which ports and what we did on those port days. My wife? Not a clue.

You and me both. On our Celebration cruise last June, my wife had a casino special that provided her free drinks throughout the duration of the cruise, even though she doesn't drink. I was finally able to buy the Cheers package, as I've never previously been able for that very reason.

DOH! Reading comprehension issues on my part. I thought I read you were only able to buy Cheers for 1 in a room. I knew that, but I misread it.

The cold weather forecast for Sunday-Monday-Tuesday next week made its way to DFW. There is talk of snow showers and temps as low as single digits and highs in the 20's. That's just nasty. I can only listen to Reed scream for so long when there's a tornado on the ground. I follow him on X, as his forecasts are very accurate.
