  1. I wouldn’t know on my cruise back in June. Due to the boat accident in the government cut, the Celebration didn’t leave the port until almost 2:00am. By the way, I’m following.
  2. I had to read this twice to be sure I read it correctly. Does Southwest really have flights from DFW, or was it meant to imply the general “DFW area?”
  3. Add me to the list. Couldn’t even begin to guess when I last had coffee. 20 years? 25? No idea.
  4. I promise…. I won’t hide my future cruises like your other “friend” if you say hello to Maria for me.
  5. Is it odd that I’ve never been to a hibachi-type restaurant in my life?
  6. Yes, Maria from Mexico (but who now lives in Indianapolis - according to her). She is outstanding! I discovered the habanero infused vodka drinks a few years ago on the Freedom.
  7. Thank you. Here are the 3 I mentioned. Boshko (on the right) was supposed to be there until September. I don’t know the specific date. Don’t know about Dexter.
  8. I made a connection with Maria at the Alchemy Bar. If she’s still there (she said her contract didn’t end until January), PLEASE tell her Dan (who always drank habanero vodka drinks that she made), said hello. The other 2 Alchemists when I was on the Celebration at the end of June were Boshko and Dexter.
  9. Status match? Do other cruise lines do this other than MSC? That idea never occurred to me.
  10. I've been waiting on this review since Wildra mentioned that she'd be posting it, especially since I'd been on the Celebration a month after this cruise. MUCH different boarding experience, since I was on the Celebration cruise that was delayed by 10 hours due to a boating accident in the channel leading to the cruise ships. Therefore, there was no sail away party when the ship finally left at 1:45 AM. By that time, I was already passed out!
  11. Welcome back home, where a blustery cold front rolled in to the Metroplex over the weekend, with highs in the mid to upper 90’s. Back at temps over 100 starting tomorrow and continuing for at least the next 10 days.
  12. I guess I didn’t realize you were on the Allure. You’re docked in Galveston.
  13. 1. I was about to comment that a nap would be a great idea during a thunderstorm, but then I heard that same comment on your video. 2. There HAS to be an option for avoiding the closure of I-45 tomorrow. Waze or Google Maps do a great job of rerouting me around traffic issues. 3. I can’t even fathom 971 days on a cruise ship.
  14. First LHHS and now UNT. What other commonalities do we have?
  15. I was on the Celebration on June 25. 1. Debarkation at ports is very easy if you don't rush there as soon as debarkation starts. We had the same itinerary. 2. I really enjoyed the Celestial Strings and the circus themed shows. You HAVE to get there early (you're late if you're 30 minutes early) to get a decent seat, or else you'll only see portions of the shows. 3. On the main counter, there are 3 outlets and 4 USB ports. There is also a USB port on each side of the bed.
  16. Can’t be too many people named Imade from Indonesia working for Carnival. I just checked my notes from previous cruises, and I dealt with Imade on the Freedom in 2019. edit to add his picture
  17. YES! I can eat in peace now. Maybe toss that tag in the water? Go have a few more drinks - and maybe some Pepto Bismol for the upset stomach.
