A good friend of mine who I have been friends with longer than any of my friends moved to San Diego from NY 45 years ago.He loved living there.My wife and I were there 4 times over the years.Much to my surprise my friend moved to Oregon about 4 years ago.

The granddaughter of one of my friends is finishing her first year at URI.She loves being there.My son in law Eric grew up in Maryland and everyone believed that he would be going to college at the Univ of MD but he surprised them and went to UVA.

If by any chance it was Hofstra my youngest daughter went there for a second graduate degree after going to an upstate college for undergraduate and fist Masters. In the early 70’s my wife and I would do summer day trips to the Hamptons ,Sunken Meadow State Park and Montauk Point nearly every summer .Those were our exotic vacations .Since be moved to LI in 2003 we have not been to any of those places.

We have friends in Jackson.They said it was very sunny.They we’re having dinner in a restaurant when all of a sudden it began to thunder.

I visited Moncton in 1976.It was a very beautiful area.

I would think that your area is more like LI than upstate NY

I only lived in NY but my childhood friends are all over the world including one in Ft.Mill,SC

I actually have heard of Tucker.I have relatives in Dunwoody which is very close. Re Indiana,a friend of mine who grew up in NYC as I did played for the Indiana Pacers many years ago and would frequently have discussions with his teammates about the foods he ate in NY that they were not familiar with and vice versa.

I am totally disabled and will never again have the opportunity to spend any time in a hotel. I was not refuting anything you said only to clarify that not every place of lodging that may charge by 5he hour is in business for sexual dalliances.

I also never heard of chocolate gravy.

We have yet to use a ships laundry.We have been cruising since 1973

Not implying that it is but there are many people that go to business meetings in different locations where they are making presentations . I would at times go by Amtrak with the President of the company I worked for to cities all over the east coast.We would take Amtrak to the city and book a hotel close to our destination to finalize our presentation .We booked a room for two hours usually .There were always people there for the same reason.

There are some very upscale hotels all over the world that offer hourly rates.

We are cleaning the inside of our refrigerators but for religious reasons.

I never heard of that motel.I googled Bayonne Hotels.Somebody told me once that there were 4 hotels/motels in Bayonne.

What about Hudson Plaza Motel in Bayonne ?

Tomorrow is the third anniversary of this thread as you posted a few days ago.Since it is not likely that CC will pipe in music my suggestion is that at a designated time taking in consideration the time difference from those not living in the US we pour a drink of our favorite beverage and do a Toast to Dani for starting this great tread .
