We once cruised Celebrity & we loved their cruises . The hotel service ,the food quality & variety & entertainment were every thing we could ask for from a cruise line .After my wife could no longer fly we went to Holland America from our home port of San Diego . Does Holland America equal Celebrity yes in all areas except the entertainment . We do miss the main theatre shows . We were able to sail on 2 B2B Celebrity Cruises on Soltice from the World Cruise Center in San Pedro ,Ca where we could drive to ;however, for handicap people the parking lot is a night mare .Thus ,we stay with HAL from San Diego nut do miss the nightly main theatre shows . BTW ,Celebrity has some really good guest lectures So when comparing HAL & Celebrity ,we definitely know the strengths & weakness of each cruise line

Yes we do agree that the movement in the price is in algorithms . you make a good point & I agree that unless the roof falls in this stock will be back in the mid $20s one day as the corporation gets that debt down

flying into Seattle is a lot less that flying into Vancouver from the USA that is the main reason

We tend to see that the World Stage is used more often with lectures , some single type acts on the longer cruises ,what has been your experiences ?

That is not the reason the stock price is down .more like the inflation rate & the latest report that consumers are spending less than prior months . This may have a negative impact on cruises but when I say that the reports say record breaking bookings .So go figure

We bought more at $14.79 near the close .Seems cheap to us . At least $1.50 to $2 upside

The questions begs why do cruise ships even stop in Jamaica with crime so elevated ?

Would you buy CCL stock at this price in the $14.80s range to get the CCL on board credit for your cruises ?

Imo the best way to get to the Volcano National Park is yo rent a car , The drive is about 45 minutes each way . On the way back look to the right & there is a huge Japanese Orchid Farm .They have just about every orchid known to man . Then in town just off the road is Raoinbow Falls for photos .hope this works for you . Ps you may look into Turo renting cars cheaper from individuals with the insurance .Like a rent of ARBB

Years back the cruise lines would mail us a nice paskage including bag tags , now we have to print them out our selves .since we have a laser printer only black & white comes out lol

Then people from the cruise ship were already tendered into Kona when the earth quake happened .a 5.7 will get your attention . There was a earth quake in Thousand Oaks Calif as well We never get use to earth quakes here in Calif .There have been some devastating ones here in Ca Aloha Cliff

Canadianbear we don't believe Hawaii hotels near the cruise pier sell day passes Generally ,the hotels are only catering to guests who book stays .We do know that cruises to Mexican rriviera it is common to book a hotel day pass . I would recommend that you reserch public transportation & or the HOHO bus . Don't you take some US currency when you are going to US ports for minor expenses or tips ? We been to Canada & when we have gone there I have at least 5100 in Canadian currency for tips if not paying by CC Aloha Cliff

We never though of cutting tips pn any cruise . Those people work hard & they give excellent service on holland america ships . We never found them un courteous . From time to time problems come up like in any other business . It is how you deal with those problems that makes the difference Cliff

Mary we been on over 100 cruises .We cn honestly say that only once did I have misgivings on a HAL cruise ship necause it was I could not locate my wife who I said meet me at a point on the ship .she did not show up .I went to the cabin the door was open & no wife there . That was more than concerning .I went to desk relations & they did nothing to help ;which yo this day I felt was highly unusual . The long & the short was my wife did not hear me when I said meet me here . she went to the main show room .Well we did find her after a senior officer stepped into the matter . so over 100 cruises this is the worst I ever had to deal with . We have sailed mostly with Celebrity ,royal Caribbean & then Holland America . We also have sailed Pricess & Carnival . Holland America well suits us now . for any one who has a llegitimate complaint best to start at customer relations . If need be their supervisor level . From there if you do not get a proper response go to the Hotel director . In either case your problem will be resolved on board the ship Cliff

Canadianbear there are buses in honolulu as well .Not sure that they can drop you off near the Bishop museum ;as a example . We recall the entrance was not on or near a bus route but truly not far from the ship dock . If you have never been to the Bishop museu ,it is more than woth the visit . you can google it for more info . Taking the HOHO bus is a very good option . We found the maps & routes for the HOHO bus on line . Oerhaps you can book it there on line .worth the try .It does stop at the Aloha tower which is very close to the ships pier . You can go oto Peral Harbor on it .The Navy launch& movie is free to any one who wants to see the Memorial which stradles the sunken USS Arizona .Sad that so many good men perished in that shio . you can also tour the Battle ship where the end of the war was signed by the Japanese & US led forces . The tour of the Missouri Battle shio is not free ,You van book it on line . One thing we highly recommend to people who have not done this is to book the Polynesian cultural Canter & if possible book ther Super ambassador .Iy is amazing all day tour ,luau& show in the evening . You will get the best seats at all events .You need 2 days in port on Oahu to do the Polynesian cultural Center We been to the Bishiop Museum which is definitely worth while to see near to the ship a shirt ride . Then there is the iolani palace another short ride .both very worth while to see .Uber or lyft to get to these places .Get another couple & split the fare . Aloha Cliff
