If we were on this cruise we would book a future cruise because the deposit is only $100 pp . & the possibility of extra ion board credit because you book on the ship 7 if it is a early booking cruise then Matiners get a extra early booking on board credit as well Cliff

High are you sensing more posts about the cruise .We would like your slant on the daily activities aboard . We take handicap balcony cabins as I use a red scooter ,4 wheels & my wife uses a rollator walker . I am riding a stationary recumban bike here daily & I use weight adjustable 25 lb set of dumbells to try & not use the scooter .If I can huild my self up I can walk enough distance around the ship .then we coud book a regular balcony cabin ;which would have gotten on this cruise . so trying hard . Looks like it 8s filled with a pastry =or ice cream filling . what is it filled with Susan ? The 17 species of Pacifi Ocean whales .That is very interesting . Binnoculars & good eyes can catch those giants looking from the ship or on a whale tour . In Hawaii the boats must keep 100 yards from the whales but in Mexico they can get as close as 50 yards .However , Mexico they use 12 or 14 passenger boats for their whale tours .Even with life vests on that is too close imo & the boats are too small . Following your cruise report .Thanks for positing it . Would expect a lot of Mariners on Hawaii cruises & Trans Atlantic cruises . 2000 is about 2/3 of the pas on your cruise . Did they have anything special for the Mariner luncheon or just order from the menu ? Aloha & Mahalo Cliff

koningsdam is a great ship . One not to miss is the pea soup & other Dutch foods at the Dutch Cafe included id your fare ,Deck 3 mid ships opposite customer Relations Desk . They do sell alcohol drinks as well

thanks that is about 14 months . We think it can be 1 & 1/2 years that HAL releases . however ,what ever ,it is we want to book early to get the right handicap cabin & if there is a Mariner Early booking on board credit from HAL included .

We are looking into 2026 for a Hawaii cruise from San Diego R/T . Anyone have any idea when HAL will release the 2026 Hawaii itineraries ? TIA

Thanks for the video , Glad the Seas settled down & every one is enjoying the entertainment ,food & the ship . Imo that inside handicap cabin during rough seas was so much better than the higher decks .food for thought as we need a handicap room as well ,especially Jan & Feb sailings . wondering how many people phoning into this ohine number are having problems getting to speak to a live HAL representative . today spelled our my first & last name but this Ai beast can not understand it . It never asks for my Mariner number .when finally after many minutes it connects me the connection it was too static & the rep said call back .Never would I phone back Holland america management if you are looking at this post you really need to do some things to improve this Ai initial contact .If not we will no longer go to your cruise line .just too frustrating . Life is too short to deal with such bad phone connections

Do you expect to get any other than a inside cabin ? We have to agree with the ither person most people would fing this last minute program that Holland out in more aggravating that it is worth the discounts . & when you boil it all down see how much you did save over normal bookings . We don't believe that any cruise line is doing this because they care

We agree with you that cruise prices have gone up substantially . If the cruise lines think that they can keeping hiking prices , then it will back fire at some point in total bookings . It comes down to basic economics Cliff

We can only hope that one day soon Holland America reinstitute proper shows in the World Theatre since all their competition has these main shows .

Seems to me that these large Norwegian ships are more suited to younger people from your review . younger people like the unlimited bar & they don't mind noise ; because they are young . from your review we would not like this type of cruise line . We only sail HAL ships now because we no longer able to fly & HAL sails from our home port of San Diego . We were able to sail last March 14 days on Celebrity Soltice from Los angeles portin a handicap balcony . The 2 lines HAL & Celebrity are similar however ,Celebrity does do a much better job in the Enttertainment area . When we could fly most vof our cruise were Celebrity cruises We do enjoy the Koningsdam for other reasons like the spacious handicap balcony cabins .Excellent service & the cruises we can book to Hawaii ,Mexico & West coat to San Francisco . One day soon we hope HAL btings back their round trip south america cruise from San Diego . Cliff

imo Carnival corporation turned to Stockperks to save money . If this issue is difficult gfor people here on cruise critic imagine how difficult it could be for some one who did the request the old fahioned way & bought the stock many years back in the 40s 0r 50s but ,now will struggle with this stockperks issue . If they made out before stock perks more power to them . It seems to me there are far to many changes coming down the cruise roads these days ,to suit us I for one will trade CCL but not ask for any OBC stock credit .We will make the credit & much more $ by trading it

We agree 1000% . Some people who do not have any "real authority " on this thread condem those who swing trade . Well my answer to them is it is totally legal .
