  1. Adding this high flying market is going to get hit & imo hiy hard ;as ot seems almost improbable that the US will miss a recession in 2024 . Hold carnival stock for any length of time can be a ache to ones portfolio .Besides in a recession booking will tend to dry up .That is one people can count on

  3. as you are aware the problem with holding the stock in a hard down market losses can mount up quickly ,so who in their right mind would continue holding any stock that was moving down rapidly ?
  4. Who is stockperks ? Why all of a sudden people need to ask a 3rd party to approve CCL stock holder on board credits . We have 4 booked HAL cruises which represents $550 in CCL on board credits . If we can not get these credits it is either my travel agent gets them for me or I cancel the 4 cruises 3 cruises are under 14 days do they get $100 in CCL Stock obc & one 18 day Hawaii cruise which gets $250 in OBC . Why is this important because between the CCL stock on board credits , The AARP on board credits & what the TA gives us in on board credits we pay all our cruise tips & some money left for the special restaurants . Thus ,if it it too difficult for us or our TA to get the OBCs simple solution ,we do not sail on Holland Any longer .
  5. We agree .so if I have a problem I will just cancel . seems to me others could do the same .I only would buy the 100 shares as I needed them for the benefit . No need or want to but any cruise line stock .There are far far better investments with gar greater returns for those dollars . candidly I am becoming more & more skeptical of cruise lines who keep cutting back on things & then even making it harder to do business on top of the cut backs ,However ,they can easily raise those cruise dares , Yes there are other vacations . Each of these moves imo is like another nail . Newbies may not know how it was & accept the status quo but ,we have seen too many changes & this one really fries my angst
  6. Wow any thing to make it more complicated & of course save money in the transition las not every one will have the no how . We were going to buy shares but now need to give it much more thought , Seems to me they just made it more difficult for people . Crystal , imo they are discouraging people . I need to rethink how many cruises I wwant to book with a company who seems to make it harder & also keeps cutting back on past things that use to be included . It sours my taste for this or any Carnival corporate line . I wish it was different but ,I am getting too old to change to suit a longer customer /vendor relationship . It becomes principle over enjoyment Cliff

  9. What is the address for Holland America in Seattle to send the Carnival Stock information to get the on board credits ? also is there a FAX number available ? Thanks in advance for that information
  10. more & more problems getting AARP applied to newly booked cruises . Heads up got to phone them to add the AARP creditthat is due you otherwise it is never added & then get it in writing
  11. Amazing that Holland America states that your Mariner number pulls in all the credits do to you & your booking . Well that is NOT true . I have 2 bookings made Oct 23 ,2023 .One a 10 night cruise with the $1/00 each deposit & the 7 night B2B with a $1000 .00 deposit .Both cruises go to the Mexican Riviera & we did not get the AARP credits on each booking . So we now need to call them & speak with a supervior to manually apple the 2 AARP creits due us Over all I am acr=taully finding a cruise line called Holland America has little or bo regard to keep their faithful customer base .It seems to me obvious when they do not care enough to have a working web site as well as applying the AARP creits that they told us that will happen . imo devious methods are now happening by this cruise line .These are not mistakes .These non truths lead me to be very apprehensive

  13. not every one is tech savvy. Using a computer at my age in mid 80s is reaer than most people know because most people in this age group do not use computers
  14. with a new cell phone android how do you do that ? Nit only the boarding pass problem but we would have a lot of extra t=rhings to manage because we are both handicapped
  15. I would not attempt to micky mouse cookies with out professional help . too many important documents I need to access holland america is the problem & they own their web site

Crystal ot going to be a night mare when people have to print out boarding passes .or on their cell phones Just try to get past Security at the San diego cruise port with out a boarding pass & current pass port ,, It will noy happen .I live here I know for a fact no one gets in to the building with out a printed ot on their cell phone the boarding pass Cliff
  17. When removing cookies need to be super careful you do not loose your pass words stored to otther web sites .I my self will not tacj=kle that job with out professional help
  18. yes & there is so much yo see & do on land trips . Norwegian has a single cabin price ..if you were inclined .

Hank we respect your input , I think if you surveyed the afforability index of the typical HAL cruiser you would find that the high end lines are generally out of reach because of their price structures for equal cabins .Not every one wants or desires a a suite ,even a lower end one regardless whether it is affordable or not . The point here is what works for you does not work for others . Example ,if my DW was able to fly I would try the Icon of the Seas in a ocean balcony or perhaps a balcony over looking one one of their neighborhoods . YjHere is so much entertainment value on these immense ships that is what draws the huge crowds .Yet ,you do not feel squeezed ///our daughter & husband were on the prior huge RCL ship ,wonder of the SEas & commented it was fantastic ,My daughter is 68 & my son in law id almost 63 . Additionlly ,they can easily afford any suite on any ship cailing .so Hank ,although it works well for you not every one is of the same mind set Cliff
  20. Thanks every one for your contribution to what entertainment was available on HAL ships currently .We can hope that the future entertainment value is better on the World Stage of HAL😊
  21. We are hoping that HAL will upgrade their entertainment around their ships . Has any one noticed any entertainment upgrades ? Also. where can you dance to sime mild music for us older folks ? TIA
  22. Always best to check the State Dept web site , Recently Turkey has said that are aligning with Iran . Thus ,this can make that part of the world a suspicious place to cruise
  23. It would certainly benefit HAL marketing or CCL marketing to read their customer & prospective customer comments both positives & the negatives . However , I havwe spoken to resolution specialists who turn out to be no more than glorified gofers
