  1. Ship is busy typical summer sailing not too many high status cruisers. It seems better staffed than our cruise in May. So far the only item missing because of supply chain issues is Aperol!!!! Bartender in Trellis bar substituted Campari with my permission not quite the same but drinkable. Mint is in plentiful supply for my dark rum mojito this time.
  2. Not this time DH uses a mobilty scooter now so we just rode around a little in the port area bought some local rum and gifts for his daughter. It's just nice to be on a ship and not have to think about what to make for dinner!
  3. Hi everyone from the Allure In Roatan, great cruise so far. I'm trying to stay caught up, don't want to get back to 50 pages of posts!
  4. So sorry to hear this, condolences and prayers for the family. Mary
  5. Now the app has a place to add and scan booster vaccine cards
  6. Thanks everyone this is useful information. I still have some EMed tests for my cruise on Sunday but will be trying this for the next one.
  7. It's a peaceful evening here, it seems the fireworks are finally finished!
  8. Please try to get evaluated to make sure that this is not a blood clot in your leg from your flight and the travelling. I had a friend some years ago who got a clot and had several months of problems before it resolved. Now I always wear compression socks when I travel. Mary
  9. This is heartbreaking especially after how much he went through with the chemo and radiation. I worked in oncology for all my career and even after 50 years of advancement in treatment some tumors were just so aggressive that it seemed that nothing stopped them, including the one that took my mother at age 52. Hopefully his remaining time will be pain free and peaceful and that family and friends will be able to say their goodbyes. Nothing can really prepare you but sometimes having the resources of hospice is a blessing. Mary
  10. Hoping you have a quieter day a day everything goes smoothly. It will be good to have the procedure completed. Mary
  11. It's on Starz and is the story of the three orphaned children and the political things going on with people trying to get power. There is the background of catholic and protestant religious changes. Looking at it with today's eyes there is also some heavy duty "grooming " going on which is documented in historical documents. M
  12. Are you watching Becoming Elizabeth?. I have always been fascinated by the Tudors and am enjoying this series. It starts when Henry V111 dies. Mary
  13. Good morning everyone. Happy Canada Day to all Canadian dailyites. I just checked and the last times I was in Canada was in October 2019. I had plans for The Rockies. Vancouver/ Whistler and Canadian Maritimes in 2020 and 2021, we all know how that went. I have tentative plans for the Rockies in spring 2023, love the Icefields Parkway drive. amazing scenery. hope everyone has a great weekend! Mary
  14. Living in SoFlo we need A/C most of the year. Usually 76 or 77 during the day a little cooler at night as the bedroom is usually warmer and I need it cooler to get a good night's sleep. Mary
  15. Thanks @sdteacher Did you use a phone or a laptop to do the test?
  16. I believe over 70 is free, still have to complete the forms though.
  17. This sounds so familiar I have had to call the paramedics 3 times in the last year to help get DH off the floor. It's scary when it happens as he is also on blood thinners and he bruises easily. The paramedics have been wonderful and very reassuring. Hopefully the rehab will help your husband, loss of mobility is very difficult to accept. Mary
  18. Just did the same for our cruise on Allure next month. MTD was impossible last month crowded lobby for booked dining times and long waits. Of course no mask wearing or social distancing while waiting, Hopefully this will be better but we did enjoy several dinners in WJ on the last cruise so that is an option again.
  19. @A&L_Ont Hoping Owen makes a quick and complete recovery and your mom passes her tests with flying colors, Mary
