We were in Cartagena in December. DH uses a mobility scooter and was inclined to stay on the ship. finally agreed to join me in checking out the port area. He was very pleased to be able to move freely around the area as there were ramps and wide pathways. He really enjoyed taking photos of the many birds and animals in the area. The shopping area was also low pressure and we picked up some colorful ceramics to add to our collection .It was a most enjoyable couple of hours and if you have a scooter well worth doing, I understand that you are ambivalent at best about using one but please think about getting one to have available on this cruise. Our itinerary was similar to yours and the scooter was no problem in any of the ports,

Local update re Port of Miami. Early this morning a small private vessel hit the Fisher Island ferry resulting in one death and one serious injury. Investigation is currently still ongoing and channel remains closed to boat traffic. Those ships that entered the port before the "accident " are not able to leave until clearance is given. Another of the only in Miami incidents. Especially for those outside the port currently experiencing thunderstorms. I can't imagine trying to rearrange flights etc and parking at the port is crazy!

Agreed we do that also to Hollywood Beach. Taxis are always available and drivers are usually very helpful with luggage and DH's travel mobility scooter. Very efficient service

Only perk that is not per cabin seems to be cocktail party, not sure if non frequent sailors can attend if traveling with a Sea Rover. Haven't heard much about the cocktail party.

I got my match in 2 days and received an email welcoming me as a Sea Rover. This was 2 weeks ago. DBE badge showed up online a couple of days later.

You won't regret it, Sid's margaritas are the best, even if you have to manually squeeze the limes. It took me a while to realize just how little agave to use, but truly only a smidgen is needed.

I've been waiting for this!! I have Scarlet Lady booked at the end of June for first Virgin cruise. Used the match to get Sea Rover status so any info on the program will be greatly appreciated. Enjoy your cruise.

Looking forward to following your trip, so far you seem to have managed the travel really well. Once you're on the ship things should be much smoother. Glad you were able to meet some fellow cruisers and enjoy a day in Barcelona.

Not as bad as earlier but still raining heavily and windy. I think it will be interesting tonight as we seem to be sailing through the weather. Haven't seen the "bags" on the stairwell yet, I enjoy feeling the ship move DH not so much 🤢
