  2. Now the app has a place to add and scan booster vaccine cards
  3. Thanks everyone this is useful information. I still have some EMed tests for my cruise on Sunday but will be trying this for the next one.
  4. It's a peaceful evening here, it seems the fireworks are finally finished!
  5. Please try to get evaluated to make sure that this is not a blood clot in your leg from your flight and the travelling. I had a friend some years ago who got a clot and had several months of problems before it resolved. Now I always wear compression socks when I travel. Mary
  6. This is heartbreaking especially after how much he went through with the chemo and radiation. I worked in oncology for all my career and even after 50 years of advancement in treatment some tumors were just so aggressive that it seemed that nothing stopped them, including the one that took my mother at age 52. Hopefully his remaining time will be pain free and peaceful and that family and friends will be able to say their goodbyes. Nothing can really prepare you but sometimes having the resources of hospice is a blessing. Mary
  7. Hoping you have a quieter day a day everything goes smoothly. It will be good to have the procedure completed. Mary
  8. It's on Starz and is the story of the three orphaned children and the political things going on with people trying to get power. There is the background of catholic and protestant religious changes. Looking at it with today's eyes there is also some heavy duty "grooming " going on which is documented in historical documents. M
  9. Are you watching Becoming Elizabeth?. I have always been fascinated by the Tudors and am enjoying this series. It starts when Henry V111 dies. Mary
  10. Good morning everyone. Happy Canada Day to all Canadian dailyites. I just checked and the last times I was in Canada was in October 2019. I had plans for The Rockies. Vancouver/ Whistler and Canadian Maritimes in 2020 and 2021, we all know how that went. I have tentative plans for the Rockies in spring 2023, love the Icefields Parkway drive. amazing scenery. hope everyone has a great weekend! Mary
  11. Living in SoFlo we need A/C most of the year. Usually 76 or 77 during the day a little cooler at night as the bedroom is usually warmer and I need it cooler to get a good night's sleep. Mary
  12. Thanks @sdteacher Did you use a phone or a laptop to do the test?
  13. I believe over 70 is free, still have to complete the forms though.
  14. This sounds so familiar I have had to call the paramedics 3 times in the last year to help get DH off the floor. It's scary when it happens as he is also on blood thinners and he bruises easily. The paramedics have been wonderful and very reassuring. Hopefully the rehab will help your husband, loss of mobility is very difficult to accept. Mary
  15. Just did the same for our cruise on Allure next month. MTD was impossible last month crowded lobby for booked dining times and long waits. Of course no mask wearing or social distancing while waiting, Hopefully this will be better but we did enjoy several dinners in WJ on the last cruise so that is an option again.
  16. @A&L_Ont Hoping Owen makes a quick and complete recovery and your mom passes her tests with flying colors, Mary
  17. Good morning everyone, Thinking of my Father today. Spectacular sunrise this morning
  18. Thanks for updating, I tried to Google Lebanon flip flops!! I usually wear Clark's but am always looking for new styles. SoFlo is very flip flop friendly. Mary
  19. Great pics of waterfalls everyone. @dfish extra credit for photo from hot air balloon Mary
  20. I have been following this story here in SoFlo, it doesn't seem right after how much time and service he has apparently given to this church. How was this not known until now? Mary
  21. @Heartgrove condolences to you and your family at the loss of your sister. I'm sure your visit brought her peace in her last days. Mary
  22. Good morning everyone from a hazy but calm SoFlo. @kazu great to see you posting again. Love your flower pictures, miss the spring flowers living in SoFlo. Looking forward to the drink recipe, I had a jalapeno margarita on Royal that was really good, I like spicy food but DH does not so I indulge on cruises! Nothing planned for today, maybe down to the pool this afternoon. Prayers for those who need them at this time and to those on the celebration list enjoy! Mary
  23. Thank you for posting this. DH has mobility issues and needs an electric scooter to get around. On the last cruise he was having flare ups of some of his other medical issues and spent most of his time in the stateroom. As of now we do not have any cruises booked and I think we need to evaluate future vacation plans. I solved the moving heavy chair in the dining room by moving the table away so he could sit down and then sliding the table towards him. Fortunately we had a table for two!! The waitstaff was surprised by my ingenuity and told him I was very smart. Obviously couldn't do that with a large table. A few years ago we took his 92 year old mother on a cruise but brought a full time aide to help with her. It was a memorable cruise as all of the care was not on one person and we all got some free time. It is very hard when there is only one caregiver.
