On a very positive note, there's an item in today's NZ Herald saying that pre departure testing to enter NZ is likely to be scrapped as early as next week with an announcement expected tomorrow. I can't say how happy I am, I've been worrying at the back of my mind, what if I test positive on disembarkation, even without symptoms, and have all the hassles of not being able to get home as planned. Fingers crossed pre departure tests DO get scrapped, yay, yay, yay 😷 🙃

We were very happy with our experience with Princess cancellations. We had just paid in full for our cruise when it was cancelled. We opted for the full refund with 25% bonus FCC. Money came through about a month later. Can't say the same about our experience with our Air NZ flight from LA to Auckland. Air NZ said no refund as flight was booked in NZ so US rules didn't apply and some other excuse. I queried it with the relevant US authority, got an apology from Air NZ and a refund. Their covid cancellation advice now clearly and correctly says refunds apply in that particular scenario.

Aha, so you can't do the health questionnaire without first uploading something to the covid field. What a bunch of wallies, I guess they aren't aware of the stress it could cause to their more senior and less tech savvy passengers 🥴

My two cents worth - for Australia app, says PCR 72 hrs, RAT 24 hrs. I think confusion is all to do with Princess' sloppy drafting and not consistently tailoring ALL relevant info to the Aussie sailings. I don't suspect we need to upload a photo of RAT test despite what a Princess rep says. Protocols on Princess site for cruise sailings from Sydney and Brisbane clearly says attest to negative result. Nevertheless, for the sake of keeping the app happy I had decided that I'd probably take a photo of the negative test (for what it's worth - being nil) just so I could upload something 😀

Thanks 😊 I will also check out accessories on board. I like the pendant chain but not the price! I'll also check the watch straps - I have embarrassingly skinny wrists so fit would be a consideration. Shame the rest of me doesn't have the same skinny gene, hehe 🙁

Hi, a question for Irene please. We've ordered the included lanyard and medallion. I see that the medallion goes inside an oblong hard clear plastic case. Often that sort of plastic has sharp bits from the moulding process so I'm wondering if that's going to be a problem for my delicate tops 🤔 Not to worry if you've invested in upcharge accessories so don't know 😀

I can't imagine bottles of sanitiser would be a problem. For anyone getting ideas re sneaking alcohol in via sanitiser bottles, keep in mind that you should only decant into food grade plastic 🙂 Hate to imagine what your favourite tipple would taste like from a sanitiser bottle combined with whatever smells leach from the plastic 🤔

Good chance it's complementary, it shows soft serve machines 🍦😋
