  1. Sounds like a brilliant move to me!
  2. Yes, S.Pellegrino products are readily available. As a former Italian cruise line, SS has offered S.Pellegrino’s Italian natural water brands since the cruise line was launched and virtually anywhere in the world whenever requested. For instance, we have always been able to get Aqua Panna as a special request going back to when SS transitioned to onboard filtered water instead of bottled. This includes Antarctica. But, comparing S.Pellegrino to Zevia isn’t fair to SS as S.Pellegrino is owned by Nestlé who exports their products to most countries in Europe, the Americas, Australia, the Middle East, as well as throughout Asia including Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong. Nestlé’s distribution system is legendary. Zevia’s is not.
  3. Wholeheartedly agree with Mysty. Zevia is a tiny, esoteric brand in the world of food & beverage, regardless of its distribution in Target or Walmart, which by the way is quite minimal. As such, it may be quite difficult for SS to acquire since they have no relationship with Zevia, especially since Zevia neither manufactures nor distributes its own products, relying solely on third party suppliers. Therefore, yes, you definitely need to taper your expectations.
  4. Because the Hotel Director and team don’t make the decision in consultation with the captain until a few days before voyage embarkation.
  5. Interesting. Wonder what is planned. I’d love to see a redesign of the cavernous Dolce Vita in order to bring S.A.L.T. to the Muse, as well as an expansion of the Arts Cafe.
  6. As an FYI, this info is also readily available on SS’s website as well. Just didn’t want the OP to think they had to join FB for the info.
  7. Did Laura give you any indication when they plan to add Silver Nova and Silver Ray? Considering how long Silver Nova had been announced, I’ve been amazed CC didn’t have it added prior to the big Barbara Muckermann event several months ago.
  8. Wait, you haven’t received your final documents and your cruise is next week? That’s a problem.
  9. Another vote for the Fullerton Bay. We will be staying there this upcoming March before moving to the Four Seasons for some shopping and dining as we like to walk to shops and restaurants.
  10. Jimmy is still charismatic, just as a Hotel Director now.
  11. It’s a legend and expected tradition!
  12. Thank you for the recos! Much appreciated. We love huckleberries and will be foraging for them soon in the forest, along with another favorite of ours; thimbleberries.
  13. TrulyBlonde, Have you found any great food restaurants in your neck of the woods that compare to any of the fine dining restaurants you left in Aspen? If so, please share. I’d love to take Silver Queen out for a great dinner before we head into the backwoods of Glacier Nat’l Park.
  14. Sold in 2021 to new line, Exploris. The line is backed by original investors of Ponant.
  15. Totally agree about Executive Chef, Pia. My all time favorite Silversea chef is Anne-Mari Cornelius. I’d sail just about any itinerary if I knew she was going to be on board as Executive Chef.
  16. For most venues, yes. When you embark, just ask your Butler to secure you a reservation wherever you like.
  17. No minimum age defined. They tend to follow cultural norms wherever they are sailing relative to parental oversight. In our experience, the price difference was roughly two-thirds off.
  18. We’re going to give it the ol’ college try in February ‘23.
  19. Okay… since ETUAL hasn’t said it yet, I will; should have ordered the Eggo waffles. In all seriousness, who was your Hotel Director? And, has SS really demoted Martin Blanar back to a F&B Manager? Shocking, if true.
  20. Amen to that! Thank you! Our FCC expires Aug 7, so was starting to get a bit worried if we’d get to use it as we haven’t had much interest in sailing until ‘24 - ‘25.
  21. How bad? Brutal. Almost incomprehensible. This past Fri., Jul 1, 464 U. S. domestic and international flights were canceled and more than 6,600 were delayed. That is nearly 30% of all scheduled U.S. flights.
  22. Clearly, was writing too fast in the forest. Silver Princess carried our team.
  23. Hey… we’ll be there in March too! Not on a ship mind you. 😁
