On a rt cruise out of California many years ago we were stopped and questioned. Royal had probably told them about jewelry bought onboard. It was on my custom's form so after a few a questions we were released. No I wasn't over limits.
Another time coming into San Juan cbp was questioning everyone so line crawled. When they got to us they decided i needed a form for some jewelry I bought in Grand Cayman. Again we declared it but there was this form that the jeweler should have given us. They took us to a separate room. They kept pushing. I offered to get back on the ship for another cruise to get the form. Eventually they found a blank form for us to fill out. Done. We left. Felt sorry for the porter who had our luggage and stuck with us. And btw the piece of jewelry was being made in the US and shipped from the US!
Just so you have something for comparison in October we used a car service from Heathrow to London. Cost was £59. Used Meadway. Very good. Also used them to go from London to Southampton.
We were on the Radiance on a Australia/New Zealand cruise in 2020, just before the shut down. It was purim and mentioned it to the head waiter i think and we described Hamentaschen. A plate of very good Hamentaschen appeared the next day. Ask and you shall receive.
Actually the lounge is open all day but only staffed in the morning and evening. Sometimes, when coffee macine is working, sometimes a pleasant place to hang out. Sometimes cookies appear early in the day.
Gosh, we all had fun before they showed the game on the outside screen. Btw don't expect to see the commercials as they don’t show those. Don’t know why.
Anthem is one of our favorite ships. Sailed her on October TA. Enjoy bumper cars. Eat at cafe 270 on embarkation. Less crowded than WJ, though obviously fewer choices, but we like it. Try a ride on northstar. Staff is very helpful. Of the specialty restaurants we like Jaimie's. Hope that helps.
Really excited about the trip. Will look for plane tix to Vancouver next year. Friends and cousins are joining us for the first leg. Looking forward to meeting you.
