  1. In the cabin speed seems the same all over. Spoke to someone who has no wifi and no cabin phone!
  2. Starlink, minus 71. Not great. Also dh and I are getting different readings!
  3. Will try that when I switch devices. Dh will check about starlink. He thinks yes but I don't. The problem seems to be that I totally lose connection on my tablet when I switch from phone to tablet. Tablet sometimes shows no connectivity when I'm on the sofa. It is working now!
  4. Hi. We boarded yesterday and I'll try to do a review, which is something i haven't done before so please be patient. Flew from Nashville through Houston to San Juan Wednesday. Pilot out of Houston was concerned about weather but arrived only a few minutes late, about 9:15 pm.. The young man sitting next to us suggested Uber would be cheaper than a taxi. XL was about $16 plus tip. It was a longish walk from baggage to the rideshare pu but not bad. Stayed at Renaissance Marriott La Concha. Based on really good recommendations had dinner the next evening at Ropa Vieja grill. Very good. Across from a CVS and a Walgreens. Uber XL the next day to the port;fare $32. At noon long back up getting into the port area and then long lines to drop off luggage. Despite that no line to checkin. We had 12 noon, earliest available, and were onboard by 12:30 and eating in WJ by 12:45. Cabins were announced ready by 1:05! 1 of our pieces of luggage didn't appear until close to 5 pm. 2nd seating dinner, deck 4 mdr, table of 6 by a window. In St. Kitts today. Just walked around as we've been here before. As to menu, it's still the old one. Crew is very helpful. Wifi seems spotty at times in the cabin.
  5. On board the Voyager. Old menu. Got a song and dance from head waiter about cost. Told him we like classic options.
  6. Dh always asks for the Vegan menu in addition to regular menu. While he usually doesn’t eat meat on the cruise, I do and I order from the Vegan menu, usually the soups.
  7. Just had surf on Jewel TA in April and Anthem TA in October. There were some spotty issues on the Jewel crossing but then we were diverted from planned route.
  8. Do you have a Samsung phone? If so try the Smart Switch app that's on the phone and tablet as I suggested. It will work. I did it after hitting the same problem you did.
  9. Don't need data. Look for the app. Tap it and follow instructions.
  10. I understand and finally got it to work. Have a Samsung phone and tablet. Using the Smart Switch app i transferred all the apps on my phone to my tablet. Uninstalled the ones didn't need on my tablet. Royal app on my tablet works fine. Hooe this helps.
  11. Yes. Technically they can charge you a corkage fee but I don’t think it happens very often. With the vouchers and the free wine delivered to our stateroom as D+ we don’t bring wine onboard anymore.
  12. We don't do excursions but head to Barachina's in old San Juan and drop our there, for free, and then wander around until we need to head to the airport when we pu luggage and get a taxi to airport. I assume we'll do that when we get off the Voyager on 1/15. Don't need to bex t airport until after noon.
  13. Dh has the one Royal gives you, we have many, in his back pack. I think one always lives there. Never had a problem. If you don't bring one just ask cabin steward when you ask for wine glasses.
  14. I stand corrected. It's 16 mos before our passover sailihg so have time to think about what we want to do.
  15. What they do is provide books. Challah, wine, etc. Schedule it and then leave it to passengers.
  16. Sometimes it's a volunteer. Dh did erev RH on a TA pre-covid. Fellow passengers wanted it quick so they could get to apples and honey! Arrived in Boston 2nd day. What will be interesting is passover on the April 2024 crossing. Should be interesting. Not really worried and will start bugging them about 6 mos in advance.
  17. Any chance you can take your son with you so you don't lose t b e cruise?
  18. 6-8 times a year! I wish. 2-3 if we're lucky. They are often longer cruises like TA so it does add up. We're at 441. On Voyager for 9 nts in January.
  19. So sorry. Flying to NYC tomorrow and have been watching flights. Son and his family Flying from LAX. Looks like we'll all make it for our 5 days introducing our LA granddaughter to the place her grandparents lived and her father was born.
  20. I assume no other flight to get you to port on time. So sorry.
