  1. This table has been there for about 5 days now. No other tables have been seen on this deck. Yes, it’s the crown princess.
  2. I do have Verizon and have Mexico in my plan usage. VPN works fine using my Verizon data and cellular. However it is limited after so much data. Therefore, I like to use the ships internet when possible, and it allows me to stream. Thanks!!
  3. Thanks Charles4515. Changing this setting from NordLynx to OpenVPN TCP has fixed this problem on the Diamond. I will keep this in mind for upcoming cruises. Thank you all for the suggestions!!

  7. Sailing on the Diamond Princess, and cannot use my VPN. (Nord VPN). I can connect to the medallion net and surf without it, but as soon as I connect to Nord, all internet traffic is stopped. I have the internet package . I went to the Internet cafe, and the manager said that all Princess ships don’t allow a VPN. I told him that last month on the Discovery, I was able to use my VPN. He told me that he has worked with this company and on Princess ships for the last 10 years, and they have never allowed VPNs. I reiterated that I have been able to on the Discovery and Also on Majestic. He told me that that never happened because it isn’t allowed. Just another of their fastest internet at sea problems. I really hate being lied to!

  9. Yes, it is better than the week before Thanksgiving. Currently, it is useable, but not great. I can surf (slowly) and load my yahoo email account. The week before Thanksgiving, that was not possible.
  10. Not shipping the Medallions will cause extra work for Princess at the port. I'm not paying to have my Medallions shipped to me. I'll pick them up at the port. One less thing to worry about if I forgot something!
  11. The last few cruises that I have done recently, the offers were loaded into the system after a few days. We returned on Saturday, and the offers were available on Wednesday. Maybe because of the Thanksgiving holiday, they were late for you. You can also check your account to see if they were loaded. Log into your account, the go to Future Cruise Credits, then go to onboard credits. It will list the various offers and Future Cruise Credit that you have. You will still need the info that was on the card/letter they provided at the end of the cruise when you talk to them. Hope this helps you out.
  12. But this is what Princess advertises as their capability. You cannot blame anyone for streaming or doing anything else since Princess's advertisement says to do this. The blame is all on Princess.
  13. But, Like when the bolt head snaps off, there is extra work to be done to complete what you were trying to accomplish. The extra work might be too much to overcome!
  14. Have you filed a complaint with your state insurance commissioner? That usually gets their attention. Too bad is has to go to that level..

  16. If Princess is trying for the younger Generation, They better look really hard at their current WiFi / internet onboard their ships. It is currently lacking. The youngsters won't tolerate that too long before they seek vacations elsewhere.
  17. The website is wonky today. It say the same thing for me when I check on my cruises. However, my profile has the correct birthdate. Princess IT is at it again!!!
  18. Renmar, I am sorry to hear that you caught Covid. Hopefully you will recover quickly. I'm surprised you did not research this about QM2, prior to booking the princess cruise. I hope that you purchased travel insurance that covers your loss. I know that I would not have taken the chance of trying to cruise for 14 days on one cruise line then cruising again on the QM2 so soon afterward.
  19. My Last cruise on the Majestic was in March 2022, and all of these services worked with the medallion net connected internet. These also worked on the Crown Last month. If you mean on the stand alone Medallion net without paying for the internet, I would agree that these will not work. If you re saying that you did have an internet package and these did not work, that would be a total surprise and very concerning not to be able to text someone.
  20. I bolded some information that isn't totally accurate. You can use this over the counter test. along with a third party video monitoring company, for travel. I recently used this over the counter antigen test, along with Rapid Trace for monitoring the test,( $20.00 per test)and it was valid for traveling on a princess cruise. However, If you meant to say that this test used by itself is not useable for travel, you are correct.
  21. Looks like there is something plugged into the hdmi 1 port. Princess uses a cat5 cable for their programming. Therefore they don't need the hdmi ports.
  22. You don't use your phone as a carrier supplied hotspot. You use the medallion net internet. Or get a Travel router and use the medallion net internet .
