  1. On this cruise, this time, NO! Previous cruises I did feel we got value in the meal. That's why we continued to go. Have to re-think that now.
  2. Previous crab shacks included the snow crabs, claws and legs. Now just 2 small claws.
  3. On the Discovery Princess, Absolutely the worst experience in the crab shack! Ordered the Alaskan seafood boil like always, got much less than normal. There wasn't any Snow crab included with the dish. When I mentioned to the waiter, he claimed that the chef forgot to include them and would get them. When he returned, he brought us each 2 snow crab claws. See included picture. ( I had already ate one of the claws) The Dungeness crab were fine and as expected. When I complained to the manager, he just said that is what the menu states, snow crab claws, and this is what you got and walked away. Since this is a pay extra meal, I was not happy! For comparison, I have included pictures of my same entree's from crab shack in September on the Royal, and October on the Crown.
  4. Not since the restart. That 18% goes into the pool of tips (crew appreciation) now. And especially now with the drinks packages. The bar staff would be getting stiffed out of their tips, which are not collected with the drinks package orders. Meaning no tips are collected on individual drinks ordered when you have a drink package.
  5. Thank you for returning to the forum with an update to your request. I hope that Princess is able to allow you to disembark early like you would like.
  6. Couldn't use a gift card on the ship (Crown) this week. They claimed the system was down and nothing the ship could do about it.
  7. We have been told the same. Also, the gratuities added to drinks are not going to the bar staff as like pre-covid. It is now going into the fund to pay for bonuses and such.
  8. Well, That's a really goofy idea to do that. I guess bookings are favorable enough to do that. I think it's a stupid idea.
  9. A lot of people don't realize that THEY purchased a package (they know that they have it, just not purchased it). Many people don't even know that there is a standard package, TA's and PVP's tend to sell them and say that they will gift them the package. Then it shows this as a gift when looking at their travel summary. Since the commission on these are at about 10-15%, as per the webinar that was shown when Princess rolled this out, I don't blame the TA's & PVPV's.
  10. Nope, not for check in. However after you are checked in, and before boarding, there is a space set aside for elites / suites to sit and wait for boarding to start.
  11. There were three (3) lines In Seattle for check in. A Green lane/line, a Blue lane/line, and a grey lane/line. This was the way it was last week.
  12. Here is what was offered on the Royal for both formal night canapes.
  13. I didn't, and haven't done the elite tea. So I cannot provide any info for that. Sorry!
  14. Sorry, I didn't take a picture of the offerings. Will try to get one later this week.
  15. No, they were delivered free of charge. at least as of last week.
  16. I just looked. Chocolate cake is complimentary, along with key Lime pie, and Cheesecake. The other item available at an additional charge are Jumbo Chocolate cookies @$4.99, SMIZE Ice creams @ $6.00 each, Assorted flavors.
  17. I didn't go through San Pedro, but Seattle instead. (last week) No more Elite line for check-in, Just Blue- Green - and Gray. However, there was an Elite Suite area for boarding.
  18. Better yet, Keep the Medallion and just give me the old key card. That way I won't mistakenly use the medallion.
  19. or maybe hire more crew??? I know that they don't seem to be fully crewed yet. At least on my last few cruises.
  20. Wow, When TA's don't want to book Princess cruises, It is serious!!! I don't blame the TA though, why try to spend hours on the phone and not get anywhere. I know, it's their job, but I guess if it is continually taking all their time to get a cruise booked properly and they aren't getting paid enough for the frustration. Princess needs to wake up!!!!
  21. If it was me, for a cruise that far into the future, I would look at other cruise lines for a refundable fare. I really don't like, and will not book non-refundable fares unless it's inside the 90 day mark. But then again, that's me..
