  1. Thank you for your input. MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  2. Thank you. Glad she still has the shop. We have a number of her prints in our home. Met her when she had the shop in Hamilton and mentioned how much we admired her work.
  3. Thank you for that input. We are driving to Cape Kiberty,so no flights involved where sometimes people catch something even before getting on the ship.
  4. We have booked a June cruise on Celebrity Summit. This is the first cruise we will be taking since the Pandemic caused us to be very careful due to age(70s) and some health issues-asthma for me. We have remained healthy, if not somewhat isolated during the past three years. We thought we would try this cruise as a trial run to future travels. We are seasoned cruisers and this will be our 14th visit to Bermuda. DH deals with anxiety issues. But, he has been wanting to go on a cruise for awhile. He thinks we may stay on the ship while in Bermuda thinking we may contract Covid while going to various places. I would prefer to visit some of the places we have come to love on past visits to Bermuda. I am trying to allay his concerns and try to get him to enjoy this cruise and visit. Any insights into traveling with enjoyment while in Bermufa would be helpful and welcomed. MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  5. A local artist, Carol Holding, had a shop in the Dockyards. I recall it was in the Market place. We haven’t been to Bermuda since 2018, so the shop may no longer be in business. But she had pretty glass ornaments filled with Bermuda sand. It may be worth a look to see if her shop is still at the. Dockyards. If not, I agree, the pharmacy offers a lot of things especially a variety of tee shirts.
  6. @Ozark_Kid John-I am delayed in responding to your news as this thread moves quickly and I haven’t read it for a few days. My heart went out to you and your family when I read about the diagnosis. It was not something anyone of us wanted to hear. I try to be a positive person and I understand that you are too. It seems to me that you have a lot in your favour. You are a man of faith, you have a loving wife and family and adorable grandchildren, there are treatments available and you plan to undertake them. You will be surrounded by love, caring , prayers and good thoughts on your health journey. I am wishing you peace and ,of course, the best outcome for you. Take care MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  7. @Denversail RΓ©:Liquid IV-check the package ingredients. There is a high amount of salt in that concoction. That is probably why you feel that you need to drink more water during the day. Keeping hydrated while you are drinking cocktails etc will, most likely, help to prevent hangover headaches and other issues. Just sayin’.πŸ˜‰ MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  8. Cheers, Dani, for thinking of starting this thread three years ago! It has developed into a neighborhood of good folks sharing news of adventures, accomplishments and challenges. Here’s to more good years of continued postings!πŸ₯‚ Cheers to all who post here to keep Dani’s thread on the front page of RCL topicsπŸ₯‚ Wishing all a pleasant Sunday and for those who observe, a good Palm Sunday. MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  9. Dani- Hoping that you and hubby and family are safe and that a peaceful resolution will be found soon. MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  10. @George C Hoping your kitchen redo goes well. Such a project requires patience and due diligence on your part. It will be great when completed. Just ask Jimbo.πŸ˜‰ MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  11. @George C Welcome back to NYC. Wishing you a fabulous time ! A number of new shows are in previews for this season. You may be able to get some good ticket prices. I think there is going to be a revival of Camelot. Do you have any particular shows that you would like to see? MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  12. @Ozark_KidHappy birthday, John! Enjoy celebrating!πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰πŸ₯³ @Momof3gurlz Deb- Belated happy birthday wishes to you!πŸ₯³πŸ’βοΈ MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  13. @CruiszBug You artfully captured the enjoyment of your dear Phoebe on the ice and the kindness of the skater who gave her the experience of floating around the ice rink. Thank you for posting that video and the photos of your family enjoying the cruise. Phoebe has been blessed with caring and loving parents. MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  14. Dani- Good that recent medical tests have eliminated the cause of pain for your husband. Sometimes trying to get a diagnosis is like solving a puzzle. Wanted to add that I was sorry to hear that your trip had to be cancelled. Wishing you better days when you and hubby can travel again. MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  15. Happy Spring to all who post here! Well, except for @aussielozzie18 who may be having Fall soon? Happy days to all! @Ozark_Kid The irrigation system is a great birthday gift! Your garden and you will appreciate your family’s thoughtfulness! Dani-I am not a doctor , but after reading about your husband’s pain issues, I was thinking that he might be experiencing gallbladder stones or kidney stones. I have never experienced either, but friends and family have dealt with both issues. Very painful, indeed. It may be something you could ask your doctor if your husband is going to have an appointment soon. Hoping he gets relief soon and a good night’s sleep for both of you. MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  16. @nini I am not too familiar withVegan guidelines-would oil and vinegar dressing be ok? MJ
  17. Greg- I had cankles on a cruise once. It nade me realize that , while the food was tempting, it did have a good amount of salt in it and it did not make me feel very good. So, on cruises after that, I tried to eat fresh selections-saΕ‚ads, fruit, etc and did not go for gravy, sauces and overly rich food. I certainly never reached a 15 drink package limit, usually my limit was two or three drinks a day. I am a cheap datΔ™! My DH gave up alcohol many years ago due to health issues. I respect that and very often do not indulge in cocktails when we go out for dinner. By the way, alcohol has a dehydrating affect. Having water between drinks can help with hydration. The supplement drink you were using to help with a possible hangover had a high serving of salt in it. I noticed that when a fellow Bella cruiser posted the ingredients. That could have added to your cankle situation.. Getting some walking in while on a cruise and sitting with your feet up should help with relieving swollen ankles also. Hoping the swelling goes down soon. MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  18. Could a person ask for a salad off menu? Seems it would be a simple request. MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  19. @PompeySailor That is a great video that Abagail posted. She was able to convey the MayaKey experience with creativity. A good video for people to watch if they are considering a visit there. Will she be posting the video on You Tube? Does she have other travel videos on You Tube? I am certain that she will have many people following her videos. Creative and informational.πŸ‘ MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
  20. @jagsfan I like how you think! Nothing wrong with the idea of forever young! MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜Š
  21. @CrzLvr2 Thank you for your kind thoughts. I just turned 70, but in heart and mind, I think I am 30! Would like to be able to keep mobility as good as possible.πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‰ MJπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
