  1. All this are old bookinks before they switched Brilliance from Amsterdam to Athens.
  2. I was shocked that so few cabins are only available in July/August 24 and at such high rates. Why do you expect a ship should be sold out for next summer now? All other Royal ships have significantly more availability in that months.
  3. Ok, take Anthem or any Med ships (Explorer, Voyager), they are all half prize of Serenade.
  4. The European part of the World cruise is very well sold, much better than the other ships in Europe in 2024 and significantly less cabins are still available at much higher rates. E.g. just compare inventory in July/August 2024 on Serenande with Anthem and Jewel.
  5. Where do you find inventory for the full World Cruise? For shorter parts I find cabins but those voyages in North Europe are ridiculous expensive. More than 7.000 Euro for 8 days in a standard balcony cabin.
  6. I would also look at length, beam and draft and from that perspective all large Container ships are significantly bigger than Icon with more than 1,300 ft length, 200 ft beam and 50 ft draft.
  7. They might also add several cabins/suites above the bridge like on Oasis which really destroys the silhouette of the ship. I don‘t understand why people are hyping this „amplifications“ (whatever this means), former beautiful ships just get more crowded and ugly looking…
  8. She has been replaced by the former AidaAura and as no one will buy such a ship she should go to a scrap yard soon.
  9. Thanks for this info, that is great! It is indeed a very long assignment for him, 4 months now and then 3 months again. We first travelled with him on Serenade back in 2004 when the ship was new and now hopefully again next year in August.
  10. Radiance and Jewel still have the LA area on deck 12, on Brilliance and Serenade it had been changed to a non-accessible storrage area for the former arial shows (or how they called it) in the Centrum so it was a wasted space in the past years. To open it up is a very good move! The partial glass buttom is still there on all four ships.
  11. Captain Stig is on Serenade at least since October 29.
  12. The big MSC ships are very nice but the crowds outside Yacht Club are insane. Booking Yacht Club does not make sense for me because for this money I can go on a real luxury ship. An inside cabin in that area does not count for me as a reasonable option.
  13. If someone is looking for a great single deal there are low rates on Ascent in June 25 for the single infinity balconies (7 and 8 night Med cruises).
  14. Beef Wellington made with tenderloin is one of the very few classic maritime dishes that has been served in the past on all great ocean liners. So this is tradition and indeed important.😀
  15. From a press release: "For the first time, Celebrity will offer a mini season of four new seven-night sailings circumnavigating Iceland in July and August 2025 on Celebrity Silhouette. Sailing from Reykjavik, these immersive itineraries include a new port, Djúpivogur, home to the black sand and icebergs of Diamond Beach."
  16. Captains need a special license to drive to Spitsbergen. Most ships there are small expedtion vessels and tendering on bigger MSC ships can become an issue...
  17. Cruise ships usually dock without tug boats. Cargo vessels always need them as they have no thrusters.
  18. Deck 3 has no balcony cabins but if you want just an outside cabin most of them are there.
  19. Not in Europe, here they record and remember your data and past status matches.
