I remember our local pub having a Halloween party ,everyone had great costumes, a lot tried giving me a hard time as I dressed as normal and told them I was a werewolf . They complained that I didn't look like one until I explained tonight is not a full moon 😉 Have a good time 🙂

I cannot help you with the cases but if you have the actual time of the phone call and the guy was rude,then do another e-mail putting in a complaint to p&O. I had similar with the AA a few years ago when I was with them. The renewal quote was a lot higher than the pervious year. I was told "We are not a charity, why do you expect lower prices,when we give you such good service " When I tried to explain ,I had been told to ring if I was not happy and I had never claimed in over 20 years. He just cut me short and told me he thought the price was good and try elsewhere if not happy . Would not give his name or put me through to his manager . The AA rang back and said they were sorry after playing back the recording of my call and said that person no longer works for us and gave me a quote £25 less than the year before . People at work have a right not to be abused , just like we do when calling them . Don't let them get away with it !

Yeah that's what the fitter said and the good news is it's covered for the next 5 years . Went for the Ideal model , same brand as the old one that lasted almost 30 years . All I need is him to come service it at least once a year .

Another one who would book the Ageas as said above the taxis were spot on and car parking plentiful . Nothing much around but a 5 minute run in the car takes you to a nice pub (West End Brewery) This has reasonable meals at a fair price ,unlike the hotels nearby . We would use again .

Try telling the Baltics no early boarding, you could find they are elevated to Ballistic level.😉

Whilst I have our gas engineer here ,who is finishing off with our new fitted boiler . I have asked him about our annual boiler service . He wants £40 for it's first service and then £60 there after the following year . He's a one man band ,so maybe have a shop around away from the big boys .

Morning 4.c this morning ,sat enjoying a nice cuppa , having a glance through the papers. I see Michael Caine at the age of 90 has said he's going to retire . Not a lot of people know that.🙃 Have a good day !

With Cunard we had reached the dizzy heights of "First timers " We got robes ,slippers and a nice bottle of plonk chilling in the fridge .

Mrs K has dug this out from a site she uses ,they make out it is normal routine work.🤔 As for land based restaurants ,we were in Gibraltar and coming down the main drag there was a gully pump wagon that was sucking up sewerage out of a man hole. Whilst this was going on they had street diners sat less than 10ft away eating and a waiter trying to get more punters in for a meal 😲 Smelt awful .

Where have you moved to ? Cos by my reckoning that's -13 ,c 😲 Wrap up really well and take care 😉

We had a young couple move in next door, both are self employed, and have 3 kids. They had a loft conversion to give more space . As we have big long gardens he had a man cave size of a porta cabin built with a power supply at the top away from the houses . He had a bar with music centre etc and uses this as a workplace /relax centre. When doing this work he always let us know in case of any noise . So there is always other options available other than an extension .

Looking back to the mid 70's going into the 80's ,makes you wonder what went wrong with our towns . Ours used to have 4 cafes a restaurant and a steak house (evenings) all run by the council. Now we have out of town shopping centres and fast food outlets . The towns not too bad if you like betting shops charities and a town centre Tesco where everyone parks to save paying the council carparks . Progress ? Onwards and upwards as they say 🤔😒

What they need is a cunning plan . I would treat myself to a mini wine fridge from Currys , on purchase they offer to dispose of your old fridge for £15 😉

Morning 12.c wet and looking bleak this morning. Think autumn is here now. Weird people can pop up when you least expect them . The other day we were traveling towards our local school, which has road ramps and a zebra crossing . It was about 11 am and we were doing about 20 mph , which we do near any school entrance , no other cars in sight . A lady came out of the school gates ,looked towards our car and walked as fast as she could towards the crossing as though she was in a rush to cross the road. By now we had stopped at the crossing,so she could cross over. Now with a few yards to the crossing she took the tiniest steps,stopped did the green cross code , then gazed up into the sky for another ten seconds or so , then she looked at us whilst dipping her toe onto the crossing like it was a swimming pool before stepping back . Then just calmly walked off with a big grin on her face . What was all that about ? I expect it maybe with young children but a fully grown woman ? Just plain weird !🤔
