Question---is this ship mainly for German speaking guests, or is information also in English? -
It usually takes almost that long to get off a plane.

Just got this via my TA from Silversea: Republic of Korea - K-ETA (Korean Electronic Travel Authorization) The K-ETA requirement for visa exempt nationals is waived when arriving and departing Korea by ship as a port of call. Seriously thinking of booking a Windstar cruise, things to know?
silkismom replied to LB_NJ's topic in Windstar Cruises
Great, thank you, I've put this in favorites under other Windstar info. -
Thank you, I saved it, if the cruise line decides we need it for their shore excursions, we'll have it.

Could someone post the K-ETA website?

Has anyone going to cruise/visit Japan been successful doing the Visit Japan website? I could get myself registered on my tablet--then when I tried to get DH registered on the cell phone--kept coming up with invalid password email--I used his email and reset his password 3 times. AAARRRGGG, good thing we have 60 days to get it figured out--hopefully once we find out hotel/address in Kobe--or Osaka from Silversea. We only have 1 hour40 min in Haneda so don't think we can do it without the app.
-
I think we are on the cruise after yours, have you heard what hotels they use yet?
-
We are going late Nov, just booked our flts to LAX today since we will be traveling on Sun after Thanksgiving. I allowed 3 hr each way between domestic & international--hope that will be enough.
-
What caught my attention--of course the Taj is incredible--"things afoot in China" scary to even think about.
-
How is Iberia? Different cruise, just wondering.
-
We were in a Vista on Spirit last Nov ATH-ATH, don't remember much movement--BUT it was a real pain, had to go up to 5, to other elevators and down to 3 in order to get off the ship, same on return. We really enjoyed reading in the library, but also found the fastest way to a "ladies" was all the way down to our cabin. This was because the ship had been split in half. Also to eat in Atlantide, they didn't want you going in the "back" door, so you had to go to 5, use other elevator and down to 4--actually several steps from our cabin.
-
Just what we need with all the air issues!!!
-
Would be nice to have on all cruises.
-
Where did you see this new requirement--searched SS website and didn't see anything.

I THINK my flts to Japan are finally settled--at least they have stayed the same for over a week. We had to use frequent flyer miles DEN-LAX, it lands at the regional terminal, then need to get to T5 to p/u bags, then to International for JAL flt (3 hours to do that including security again and check bag) to Haneda, less than 2 hr on ground to Osaka arriving about 8:30PM. Not a lot of wiggle room anywhere. Of course I have 2 1/2 months for things to change again.I have requested wheelchair service for every leg, don't know if they will do the changes at LAX.

WOW, I'm exhausted just reading the itinerary.

We have good friends who always went to Alaska for several weeks for Halibut fishing, her sister's hubby had a boat and spent the summer up there. They always had it frozen in serving size pieces and shared with us. Sadly that all ended several years ago, really miss it.
