  1. Yes, but again, you aren't saving much, and you will have to do the mixing yourself.
  2. The price of a shot of rum and the price of a rum and Coke aren’t very different.
  3. They will charge you the prevailing price AND require your wife to purchase the refreshment package.
  4. Everyone has the same fare protection up to final payment date, regardless of balance due. Unfortunately, you were given bad info by the staff, a common occurrence I’m afraid.
  5. No, you have to remove the band, the server takes it like it is your card, then returns it with your drink, like a card.
  6. I have NEVER seen a bar with a "tap box"
  7. Fuel surcharge is actually still a policy, but just like the "no adjustment after final payment date" it is in the contract and is agreed to
  8. Exactly like an airplane, hotel, train, theme park, sporting event, concert…………..
  9. Until “roaming” bar servers have RFID readers, the constant on and off with the WOW bands made it a “one and done” for us.
  10. Which has absolutely nothing to do with the current discussion.
  11. It’s always been in the contract; but I have never (since 1989) seen it charged; and I have seen some HIGH oil prices over those years.
  12. No, Royal advertises a corkage fee if you bring a bottle to the dining room, but, I’m several hundred nights I’m board I have never been charged, and I often bring a bottle to dinner
  13. There are 2 types of non alcohol packages. One is JUST soft drinks; the second is EVERYTHING without alcohol. There is no requirement for all persons in a cabin to purchase these packages.
  14. There is a little “work around” to this, if you don’t mind tying some refundable money for awhile. The boss and I love the UDP, but we also have a little OCD. We purchase the unlimited plan; we also choose all our dinners, make reservations and pay for the reservations through the CP. When we boards we go to any restaurant, like you would to make your reservations anyway, have them “transfer” your paid for reservations over to your UDP. The money you paid for the reservations is converted to refundable OBC. Another money saver is waiting to purchase the UDP until onboard, quite often a great deal can be made.
  15. Went to a birthday dinner in Dallas 2 weeks ago. Dinner was at Nusr-Et. This is a 5 star steak and seafood house, we are talking $500 per head dinner. 8 couples, every man in the group dressed in pleated shorts, button down short sleeve shirts, and loafers (no socks GASP). No one looked twice.
  16. Haven’t packed long pants in years, never had a problem at 150 CP
  17. I’m sorry you had that experience. Perhaps a cruise ship is not the best environment for you at this time.
  18. That’s an old policy that only kicked in when onboard Covid cases reached a minimum threshold. These procedures haven’t been used in well over a year
  19. It won’t make a difference. People with Covid are already boarding the ships, and everything has been fine. Covid is just another respiratory virus at this point.
  20. Post Covid Labadee is the same as PDCC in regards to “no suite areas”
