  1. All depends where you are, in Ohio, maybe not. In Texas, Florida, the Caribbean, much of the American Southwest; pleated shorts and a polo or short sleeve button down are perfectly acceptable.
  2. I haven't packed a pair of long pants in years, no problems in MDR nor specialty restaurants
  3. If Amazon (or Chick Fil-A) handled passports we would have them back with a 72 hour turnaround
  4. <takes notes> now, where do we stand on deodorant and cologne?
  5. Nope, Sabor is open for lunch; you are confusing it with Samba
  6. The first day they often have a buy one get 1/2 off special, but the onboard price for the first package is often $100 per day, or more lately
  7. yes, but the OP is still out the entire fare, just the same as their current conundrum. Royal can resell the cabin, the current occupants can not.
  8. I cancelled multiple packages in my CP on Saturday, received refund to my CC today
  9. Good question. I don’t know the entire answer, but I do know the three year old will most definitely be charged standard gratuity.
  10. Royal’s own policy statement that was released about the change stated that attendants would handle pullmans and sofa sleepers twice a day as always
  11. Ask ANY waiter or room steward and they will tell you they MUCH preferred the old system.
  12. You can choose evening or morning service
  13. Keep up Frank, Look at posts 1 and 17. These breakdowns are what is being handed out on 2 different ships this week. This is the mixed messaging that breeds distrust in the "program" STOP telling people to stop cruising, this isn't a "take it or leave it" proposition
  14. Sounds like you are comfortable with the system, that’s great, more power to you.
  15. It IS a scam. I give them my money, they say $XX is going to your stateroom attendant, but in reality it is not. It is NOT “part of the cost of cruising” (what an overused term, ranks right up there with “behind the scenes personnel”). Taxes and port fees are part of the cost, anything they allow you to opt out of is not.
  16. When Royal ships home port in the UK, they price their fares inclusively, just like P&O
  17. You can not purchase a bottle of liquor onboard for your room. It can only be done pre cruise (and not available on all ships or sailings)
