  1. I wore shorts to dinner in March on Celebrity
  2. You will have no problem with some nice dress shorts. I haven't packed slacks in years for a Caribbean cruise, pleated shorts and a polo or button down every night, including "dress your best" and specialty
  3. I don't think it is an assumption, the data is in the bookings. Royal has already established that you can change these "legacy policies" rather successfully, because 50% of each sailing is a new cruiser, and they don't know what they don't know. But as is the case with all these discussions (which I love having) we will never know the plan until Royal decides we are to know.
  4. Parents will bring their kids on a Royal cruise regardless of the kids getting points. C&A points for minors are the last things on a parent’s mind.
  5. Celebrity requires on to be 18 to register for a Captains Club number. Celebrity also awards differing points per night dependent on the price spent on your berth. (similarly to what someone postulated above having a tiered point system) It is not out of the realm of possibility to see a change like this, seeing as how the “mothership” is the same between each line
  6. If your travel agent has your bookings linked, then you should automatically be seated together at dinner
  7. No, you only get X number of wristbands per cabana. Without a wristband, the monitors won't allow you into the cabana area. I have had 2 cabanas for large groups on multiple occasions, cabanas are not assigned unit you are onboard. Go to the shore excursion desk first thing upon boarding and explain your situation. I have never had an issue getting them side by side. Over the water cabanas are going for nearly $4000 on many of my itineraries
  8. you will wait an inordinate amount of time, but yes the vouchers are valid
  9. My years in the USAF taught me (drilled into my skull) if you aren't 15 minutes early, you are late, and late is unforgivable
  10. Availabllity of C&A drinks on debarkation day is incredibly variable
  11. When you check in at the dock they will confirm your charge card. At that moment you tell them “no, I don’t want to use that card” you will never have a hold.
  12. When you pay off the cruise has absolutely NOTHING to do with price reductions. The more likely scenario is the military discount was not combinable with whatever discount you had used originally. I can tell you from personal experience. The military discount is getting harder and harder to use.
  13. Sorry, I should read to the end before replying mid stream! Still working on the first cup of Joe this morning.
  14. You don’t even need to place cash on the account. Royal will extend you a $500 line of credit.
  15. But she talked to “someone” on FB messenger. Surely that’s as good as talking directly with the office of the President of the company! <sarcasm>
  16. So you never had connecting rooms, or appears you had “guarantee rooms”, to my knowledge there is no way to get “guarantee connecting or adjoining” I am sorry for your tribulations, but it appears this booking was not handled properly from the beginning. I LOVE my travel agent
  17. I’m sorry, I can’t say when, but had a couple travel with us in November. They were also accustomed to this practice, but were told they were either in or out. This was on Allure
