  1. Oasis tables max out at 10 people; we had to split a large group last year
  2. Super Bowl on Allure on February, also belly flop contest. Top tier event. Have seen it used also for private functions (wedding quinceanera)
  3. I don’t think so. Rules for purchasing onboard are the same as for pre purchasing.
  4. At the new terminal In Galveston, arrive anytime after 1100 or so, and your whole group will stay together through the entire check in process and walk straight on the ship together. No problem.
  5. Some don’t view it as a missed opportunity, some aren’t interested in different experiences. Some find great comfort in the routine and the known. There is nothing wrong with this.
  6. Several hundred nights at sea and I had no idea there was a sunscreen rider in the contract.
  7. We do Thanksgiving week every other year. It really is a great week to cruise!!
  8. Including “The Retreat” and Luminae. NOT comparable to a RCL JS at all as was intimated above
  9. Gotcha, sorry I missed the context in your previous post that I quoted.
  10. You are painting the entire world with the same economic brush, you can't do that. Let me put it to you in a more realistic way. You are offered to go away and work for 7 months, in exchange you will be paid room and board PLUS three times the average annual wage you could ever think to earn if you stayed home. Do you take it? That is the real world scenario.
  11. Actually sharing your C&A vouchers and buying a friend a drink are all allowed and were part of the Royal promotional literature for the program. They promote sharing the free drinks.
  12. I certainly would not pay $2000 more for a suite guarantee on a Radiance class ship
  13. This is really how it works. If the Diamond member isn’t in the picture or on the folio then you can’t use your perk.
  14. WINNER!! Best post of the 15 pages in this thread so far. This ambiguity is the reason more and more people are opting out of this system!! Thank you @twangster
  15. It isn't my concern how many cabins they do; all that concerns me is I am getting less than before, therefore I am not paying the same as before
  16. Yes, 18 months ago I was on Liberty of the Seas for Thanksgiving week.
  17. Taste is a funny thing, but you will certainly find more repeat cruisers disappointed with the new food than those that feel it is equal to 18 months ago
  18. Oh, the food tastes nowhere near the same, quantity is never an issue because because food is "bottomless"
  19. I tip: Waiter Asst Waiter Steward Anyone that delivers a drink to my location With very rare exception, this is my inclusive list
  20. The moment they make it mandatory, it is now considered “revenue” and that creates its own little set of issues.
  21. And I don’t tip at the Mexican AI resorts The minute Royal rolls it into the fare (which I am fine with) I won’t tip on board either.
  22. If you are indeed sailing in May, you aren’t on the President’s cruise.
  23. OR……….if everyone removed their tips, the industry would tend to their own issues. Regardless, I think you are deluding yourself with the “overwhelming majority” comment. More people handle their business the way I do than you may think. One last point, ask any crew that’s worked the ships for more than a few years, nearly all will tell you, they prefer a cash tip system, just like tipped workers stateside. The upside is huge, and makes everyone responsible for their own success.
