  1. That is interesting info. I have heard of the United trackers but nothing about how well they work.
  2. Thanks for leaving it here, but I didn’t see anything “snarky”…maybe I’m immune. I didn’t see anything snarky but possibly it was removed. One thing I have noticed is that AirTags have become a real hit. I am surprised that Google has not come out with their own competing product yet. It heard it was in the works and they did work out a deal for a standard with Apple to detect all trackers on each others Find My to prevent stalking.
  3. I heard 2025 but I heard the only change will be that will are thinner and have greater Bluetooth range.
  4. There are plenty of independent tour operators in Juneau. I have never done a ships tour in Alaska.
  5. They bring value to some business's but take Juneau as an example most of the stores now are not local. Same stores as th Caribbean with the same foreign workers brought in. Also the larger ships each year bring in more passengers per ship. Cruise lines greed for supersized ships is coming around to bite them.
  6. They did not combine the programs. They made some changes in the tier levels reciprocity and added Silversea to the reciprocity.
  7. If there are a lot of complaints about the PUP program which is basically a big giveaway, they have to spend time responding and are losing customer loyalty then Celebrity could dismantle the PUP program.
  8. That is what I have seen. The dualing pianos sounds like something else. A game or something? I have never done dualing pianos.
  9. I am sure they appreciate it. Those musicians are not bringing in big bucks. I know a lot of musicians doing gigs in the DFW area.
  10. I mentioned in one of my posts in the US. But no one at a pub or bar in the US is going to pay attention to or remember whether you leave a tip for the piano or guitar player. On the other hand if you don’t tip the bartender in the US I suggest not returning to that bar. You might get a ***** drink.
  11. Exactly. It is traditional and good manners. It is in no way comparable to the tip screens that have gone wild asking for a tip before receiving service or at self service counters.

You should mention that Mid Ocean is a challenging course. It is on the other side of Bermuda than the Dockyard and it is more expensive than Port Royal.
  13. They have record of that. I have had to call about 50% of the time (to many times) to correct that and they corrected it while I was still on the phone.
  14. I prefer going by way of St. George on the ferry because I prefer the views on that route, I like St. George, and I prefer taking a taxi from the ferry, not a bus but time wise bus or taxi it is pretty much a wash from either St. George or Hamilton. The ferry schedule to and from St. George is limited, no weekend service and this year the weekday it is more limited, less daily runs. So often ferry to Hamilton is the best time wise because you don’t have to work around the ferry schedule limitations.
  15. I don’t think tipping a performer is the same thing as tipping for service. Busking is traditional in the US. This is not new. No one demands a tip. (expect maybe on Carnival) I will show appreciation if they play well. It would be weird here if they didn’t have a tip cup. Most people don’t put anything in. I don’t show appreciation just because they have a tip jar or sell CDs which if I buy I can’t listen to as I never replaced my CD player. It is a way of providing feedback.
  16. I have one on my keychain and one in my wallet too.
  17. Yes, I have see several musicians and singers onboard selling CDs but usually not the house bands, musicians or performers.
  18. Probably there are different expectations. I did a few Carnival cruise and the piano player had a tip jar out, a very large one. The expectation was that if we made a request and the piano player was able to play that tune then they deserved a tip. I have seen that with guitar players and piano players on Royal Caribbean but their tip jars were more discreet. Piano players in Michael’s club on Celebrity after they turned it into a piano bar used to have small tip jars years ago. I recall making a request and the piano player made up something which was not remotely good or clever so I didn’t tip him. There was a player on Zenith who was charismatic and pretty good. He had a lot of tips. It seemed like he could play any thing and played well.
  19. Tobacco Bay has easy access snorkeling from the shore. I would call the snorkeling good there. Horseshoe Bay has easy access to the beach if you take a taxi or a $7 a ride minibus shuttle. The taxi and minibuses let passengers off at beach level with a short walk from the parking lot. Horseshoe is not much for snorkeling. Both the above beaches have chair rentals and facilities, food and beverage services.
  20. I expect there will be a charge so it won't matter. Each ship will be allocated a certain number of excursions. They will be able to adjust based on demand.

Better to go in the morning but mid June the heat will probably be tolerable. My freind would get a 7:30am or 8:30am tee time when we went June. Unfortunately can't predict the weather but June is usually less humid than July and August but expect 80 to 85 in the afternoon. .
  22. This is a really good suggestion. Both Rising Son or Restless Native Catamarans would be great for teens. Great for the adults too.
  23. That fromulation seems odd to me you have asked what might be interesting for 14 and 15 year olds so you are researching. You might have them do some research on their own. Of course there are the beaches. If they are active you could do Hidden Gems or go to Tom Moores Junngle and Blue Hole. There is snorkeling. Do they like to fish? There is fishing. There is kayaking, renting a Boaton Whaler as Laszlo mentioned. On debarkation day or in the evening you could do Bermuda Fun Golf.
  24. Based on hearsay OP and other posters are advising don’t go to the medical center. That could cost someone their life. As far as the general competence of RCCL doctors I don’t think there are any facts here one way or another.
  25. They are relaying a third hand story so why would OP speak to an attorney.
