  1. Don't bring clothes that wrinkle. I stopped about ten years ago. Plenty of performence and tech fabrcs that don't wrinkle.
  2. Sheesh, It is not another cost cutting thing. They did not have the Elite 5-7 hour on the first night from the very begining which was many years ago. They never had it the first night so there is nothing they are not honoring.
  3. This happens all the time in Bermuda. There will be 6 who book direct with the the Bermuda tour operaor and 6 who book with cruise lines and pay twice as much. I looked at the excursion prices when I was there on Oceania and they charged about two and a half times as much as booking with the Island Tour Centre. Everyone is all togethrer on the excursion paying a different price booked direct, booked Celebrity, booked Oceania and booked Viator.
  4. I have been on many more Bermuda sailings than that on multiple cruise lines and that was what happened every time. For Bermuda that makes the most sense.
  5. Some ports did not change to Daylight time or vice versa. If there were multiple ports some Captains would not change to local time.
  6. It improves Celebrity's revenue...... I never took the cruise lines excursion but I have heard complaints. Since I can't verify I won't spread them.
  7. I agree. I have done it a few times on different sailings. I have not done the zip lines though. Not my kind of thing….
  8. I have read complaints about the locals at the cove selling stuff. I didn’t do kayaking but I did do the jet ski excursion. That was also a guided excursion. We could not go off on our own. We did go about 20 miles and got a view of the Citadel so that was fine with me.
  9. They kicked her off because she didn't have a passport. Probably required by the next port. There are a couple of lessons. Don't take your passport off the ship. Europe has a lot of pickpockets. Second if you lose your passport don't tell the cruise line until you disembark.
  10. For safety reasons they only do the guided excursion. How old are your girls? There is a water park, a Zip line and a roller coaster.
  11. It is a plank. It is the worlds smallest drawbridge. It opens wide enough to allow the masts of sailboats going under Somerset Bridge to pass. I think it is kind of neat.
  12. The Princess loyalty program is called Captains Circle.
  13. The above is key since I know some people don’t read well.
  14. They have not required it since November 13, 2022.
  15. Try four or five cruise lines before settling on one you might prefer. Then you can think more about the loyalty programs.
  16. I agree. We have suggested it because being 2000 points from Zenith is insurmountable because we won't cruise exclusively on Celebrity and life expectancy. There has never been any indication from Celebrity about adding a new tier.
  17. You might not be able make either of those.
  18. Seems like you have not read the thread from the beginning. OP says the mom won’t sign. There probably is more to this than OP is telling us. Perhaps he should not be taking the children? In any case I could see either possibility occurring. They accept the documents without a form or they don’t. Since he will be there and so will the kids and they have the same last name that might work. Advice has been given that he consult his attorney. That might be wise because the mom will know he took the kids on a cruise and if for some reason all is not right with that I doubt he would want to jeopardize his custody agreement.
  19. They should have benefits when sailing with you for sure. But after they are out of your household? As we discussed the benefits are forever. It seems like a entitlement but it seems a lot of people these days feel entitled. I don't make the rules Celebrity does. So if they want to give out freebies that is the way it is. I don't really think we need to argue about it because I don't make the rules and as it is your children will have CC benefits.
  20. The Blue Flag taxi means the driver has taken a guide course. Not all drivers take it so at the Caves you might or might not find a Blue Flag driver but I think any driver could be hired per hour but remember there is a three hour minimium for the tour rate if they were willing. You would just tell the driver where you want to stop. I think if the driver did not want to take you for 3 hours they would call a driver who would. I don't know for sure but it seems like a driver would like to do it. It would be a guaranteed 3 hour fare.
  21. My mother never smoked but years ago when she went with my dad to a fancy event or something like she would light up one of his cigarettes and put it in her mouth. She never inhaled from it. It was supposed to be chic I guess.
  22. You could call the RC call center reps 10 times and get different answers each time.
