  1. I always attempt to get to the port between Noon and 12:30. I generally stay near the airport the night before, and schedule the 11:00 pickup with the shuttle company I use. All the lines are gone by then. I can get right on the ship. And by the time I've had lunch, the rooms are ready. On my last cruise, I got on the ship around 12:30 and the rooms were already ready.
  2. I just took a cruise in October without completing the online check-in. Was no problem at all, It took all of 5 minutes to check in. I just printed out my cruise summary and showed that to the person at the security line. I always carry on my luggage, so I wasn't worried about luggage tags
  3. This is assuming the first passenger is not also doing an excursion at the same time
  4. If you go into the lounge when there is a bartender in there, and have them poor your beer/wine, then it's included in the package. You just can't use the self service station. This applies to the stations all over the ship, not just the studio lounge
  5. I always use cash, and it's exactly as described above. If you don't have at least $1 available, you can't even charge the free drinks to your account. If you want to avoid going to guest services when you first board, you can buy some OBC before the cruise. If you run out, you can then go to guest services and add more cash. Any extra you can get back as cash on the last night
  6. Pretty good, and they are reasonably priced. I usually bring some with me and buy some in port if there is a place I trust. But I have bought a few on the ship before. Usually to burn up some OBC
  7. Excellent question, unfortunately I don't know the answer. I would be willing to upgrade onboard if I knew for sure the macallan was available. Like I said, it would be my only reason for even taking the standard drink package, in addition to upgrading to the premium. I've seen the quest priced at $35 per shot, so a double per day would cover my cost. I would go thru two doubles with my cigar each day
  8. ok, learned something new for today. I just googled upside pineapples
  9. Have you ordered multiple entrees? I've ordered multiple apps and sides, but never tried multiple entrees
  10. I should have mentioned that I drink at the casino bar, which includes all you mentioned without fees or pre-paid gratuities. I'm limited to one bar, but that's ok. I don't get the coffees or energy drinks, but I keep my room fridge stocked with waters and cans of soda.
  11. I've always declined the drink package. Never felt it was worth even the cost of the gratuities. The only reason I would take the package would be to upgrade it to plus so I could drink macallan. I haven't done it because of all the reports of upgrade items not being stocked
  12. Ahhh, I wish this post existed two months ago. I was also caught off guard when my internet stopped working at midnight. Wish I knew I could just re-register
  13. If you didn't book your flight thru NCL, then you could do this. That being said, you can find cheaper options that will actually pick you up from your hotel
  14. it probably won't matter much about which line at the port. Given your arrival time at the airport, you won't actually get to the cruise port until between 12:30 and 1:00. There won't be much of a line/wait to board at those times
  15. Of course, right after I booked my March cruise. I'll probably still get one or two to have in my account. $500 cruise first is better than two $250 cruise next because you don't have to wait for a double up promo
  16. Unless something has changed recently, no you can not
  17. It is a better value buying at least two, though. When you only buy one, you spend $150 for $250 in credit. Buy more than one, and you spend half of the credit value
  18. Yes, preyed on is a little harsh. But what you got is the standard deal. They shouldn't have made it seem like they were giving you an extra certificate for free. The cost for two certificates is $250 and the cost for 4 is $500.
  19. nice. looks like they put out new PDFs in September
  20. where do you see these options. I've only see quest on the drink package brochures.
  21. I would at least go and sign the waiver for him. That way, if he steals one of your drinks while you're not looking and leaves the room, he'll be good 😉
  22. I went on a cruise last month, and my muster station was right when you entered the ship. They scanned my card and I went on my way. I had no idea why they scanned my card. If there was an emergency and a need to go to muster stations, I wouldn't have had a clue. I didn't even remember what deck we entered the ship on. I say this to say that if they want to stick with the emuster, they should do a better job of letting people know what's happening. Or maybe I was just the slow one of the bunch 🙂
  23. I also upgraded for $75 ($150 total) from inside to balcony on the Getaway in October. I'm totally fine with an inside, but for $150 it was worth it. so decide how much you'd be willing to pay, cut it in half, and put in a bid for that amount (assuming it's at least the minimum).
