Thanks all. Pain medication might be an issue, the only one I’m not allergic to is out of stock everywhere in the city. Luckily I have 10 pills left from my hand surgery last year (sure hope it’ll be enough!). Ice & elevation will ge my friend bday was great. Our crazy kids all came. Melody

Sharon, our mountains have been hammered (like Kats). Our kids favorite ski area had 40” in 48 hours on top of the 28” they had just received. Skiing & boarding is fabulous this year. We’ve had some snow but not gobs. We are expecting snow today & unfortunately a major storm on Sunday (hope it doesn’t affect my foot surgery on Monday morning. Might be a bit sporty maneuvering the knee scooter or crutches Monday night, sigh.

I think Hagia Sophia in Turkey would have to be the #1 spot for me to visit. Then the bazaar for some copper

Margaret & Laurie. We also just take a taxi. I was talking with our front desk person in Ft Lauderdale in Dec. they said they’re having terrible issues getting shuttle drivers & many of the hotels are no longer offering shuttles (even as a cost). FYI the shuttle from Embassy Suites in FLL to port was $30 per person, we paid $15 with tip to our taxi driver total

Kat, is there a fee you can charge the families of unruly kids? Lois, sounds like an exciting trip to Turkey. I worked (as timer) for my daughter’s swim meet yesterday. I brought homemade M&M cookies for after the meet. My granddaughter is on the team, she giggled when I came in with the box (she knew what was in it). Melody

The Zenergy line at Chivos has a good selection of what used to be called resort wear but much easier to maintain

Laurie, we never book a hotel because of a shuttle (I hate shuttles). Shuttles are almost always more expensive than grabbing a taxi, Uber or Lyft & with the last 3 you don’t wait for everyone to be loaded & be crowded on a bus. our last time in Miami we stayed at Hampton Inn Miami South Beach. 1 block to Lincoln Road (open air shopping & restaurants) 2 blocks to the ocean. Little breakfast area, rooftop pool, nice little bar & a porch with rocking chairs to people watch. We took a taxi from airport to hotel (set rates) & another taxi from hotel to cruiseport. It was fun. any of the Blue Lagoon hotels are nice too. Melody
