It was in 2018 on the Noordam. Guests signed up to swim across the Lido pool, climb out, and kiss the fish. It was so well received that there were two lines going. Prior to and after the ceremony anyone could kiss the fish.

Yes, but that was back in the day that we, as polywog passengers, actually got to partake in the festivities, swimming across the pool and kissing the fish. A fond memory. I think it is only crew now in the brink.

How do you measure the height of the swells? Does the captain state the height on his talks at noon.

We have sailed on both the K'dam and and Niew Statendam. Both times we had early fixed dining, both times we were seated on the lower level, and both were excellent dining experiences. We have also had early fixed dining, seated on the lower level on other classes of ships. Never been an issue.

Several years ago while vacationing at Whistler DH jokingly asked our personable sever why Canadians say, "Eh." His response was, "The same reason you Yanks say, 'Uh.'"

Tim, That was us, Ed and June. We were a bit concerned that possibly you were quarantined because we never saw you after getting off the plane. Bon Voyage and safe travel.

We, too, are leaving on a cruise before ballots are mailed out and won't return until after the election. We contacted the local elections office and were told that beginning last Friday, 9/23, we could get in-person early ballots. We were there on Friday. What impressed me most was that while we were waiting for our ballots three other couples walked up requesting theirs. We have voted in our state.

Itinerary is our first consideration when booking a cruise. We have been on both ships and prefer the smaller class ships. Pinnacle class ships have more public areas, but even though they have not been sailing at capacity, it seemed more crowded than smaller class ships. On our Nieuw Statendam cruise we had a deck 4 balcony which was the smallest cabin we've ever had. Travel companions who were in an inside cabin said theirs was much smaller than ours. I prefer the promenade decks of the non--pinnacle class ships, but the Dutch cafe is great. It depends on what is most important to you.

On the same cruise as you. DH got his survey right away. He kept asking if I got mine. Couldn't find mine until I went to the email I set up for my Navigator app. It had probably been there all along.
