The best martini is the one you like the best. It is entirely individual. My wife drinks grey goose up no vermouth but once once in awhile will do a traditional chocolate martini in the afternoon
You can put in a personal picture. When we come to our door mine shows a picture of my cat and my wife shows an action figure of Beetlejuice. This was easy on the old app not sure about the new one
There would be confrontations and complaints against the crew member. I have seen people sitting at a machine smoking and not playing and maybe playing every 5 minutes or so at minimum bet. Sometimes they won’t play till they see a manager walking up. The drink severs are not going to do anything
We used to live in the east bay as well but moved out when it was time to retire. Money goes a lot further in Oregon than California. We have sailed many times out of SF including this year and the crowds are just so early that we don’t even try to board before 1:00.
There are no venues on board where you can use a credit card everything goes on the folio once you are on board. This has been the case since the 1990’s
We almost always cruise Grand class ships so premier plan really doesn’t work. We really do not like the Salty Dog food and may have one or two glasses at Vines. They have a Zin I like at the olus plan limit and a few others just 2 dollars or so over. Royal class ships are too big and too loud. Plus I really missed Wheelhouse on those ships
You go through US customs in Vancouver when you board. We had the choice of staying on or getting off in Whittier. On many b2b cruises we have only had to go to a lounge and show our medallion
On most ships of that class there is only Vines and Salty Dog Gastropub and they are dinner venues except that sometimes Vines will open at 11:30 on sea days
Almost every Grand class ship has a bar in the casino. The only places I don’t see one are on Royal class ships. Although I really did like the Take 5 bar on the Discovery
As far as I know the champagne on embarkation is for full suites. Most ships have only between 2-3 casual dining locations so that is fairly typical Salty Dog Gastropub is usually only open in the evenings on most ships
There is Reserve Class space in its regular space but all others use a different dining room at least on the last 3 cruises I have been on. All others use a different dining room probably to avoid upset people who don’t want to wait from trying to crash Reserve class tables which I have seen before
