  1. I just came across this video on Twitter, on how the canal works. Very interesting. Enjoy
  2. The current issue of Cruise Passenger has an interesting suggestion, Port Kembla. “Located 73km from the Sydney CBD, 60km from Sydney Airport and 50km from the Badgerys Creek Airport, we have the location to service the cruise industry. We have excellent road and rail connectivity already which will improve over the coming years and we have a deep water port with available space for major expansion plans."
  3. These are the Pie shops I have visited. I can recommend them all. Plenty still to visit.😋 Heatherbrae’s Pies, The Famous Robertson Pie Shop, Morpeth Cottage Bakehouse,
  4. Having been named the top pie shops, all come recommended. 😉 I have tried a few of these pie shops. I must try the Lismore Pie Cart, and the Tilba Bakery.
  5. The NRMA has come up with its favorite Pie shops in NSW. Where to find NSW's best pies. I am disappointed that Harry’s Café de Wheels misses out.😮
  6. They haven't offered me the option for our upcoming cruise in August, yet.🙏
  7. One of the things I like about cruising, no matter what cruise line, is that you can do as much, or as little that suits you.😉
  8. I am not familiar with the companies you mention. I use CMC Invest. I capture a screenshot showing my holding statement with today's date shown. I use a photo editing program to remove my account number and attach it to the email I send to information@pocruises.com.au. I hope this helps.
  9. Broome has the Sun Picture Gardens. It is the world's oldest outdoor picture gardens still in operation.
  10. Not the main shows in the main theatre, just the adult ones at the rear smaller one.
  11. That is very comforting to know. My CC insurance is underwritten by Allianz, and like you, we rely on CC-provided insurance. I had some money taken from the safe in my hotel room once, and they paid out the claim.
  12. Check-in can start from around 11-12. They were not checking the boarding times on our last cruise. They were before Covid.
  13. Did you not wear gloves in the old days?
  14. I have just got off the phone with the Princess Medalion representative. She confirmed that I am in the Green Lane, but they are having trouble at their end and not to worry about the App not displaying the green lane status. Easy for her to say. If the app corrects itself and goes back to Green lane, I will follow Geoff's suggestion. Thanks
  15. Thanks for the "Heads Up". We sail in 2 weeks.🙂I Just checked the app, and sure enough I am back in the Blue Lane. Bummer.😡
  16. "Boosters are highly recommended for those eligible at least seven days before cruising." Extract from Princess FAQ.
  17. Here you are. Covid - 19 Vaccine Princess Cruises continues to operate cruises that meet health authority requirements for sailing with at least 95% of guests aged 12 and over to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and Influenza. These cruises are available for guests who have received their final dose of an Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine, with the last dose being administered at least 14 days prior to the beginning of the cruise and can provide proof of vaccination. In addition, where local regulations allow, we’re managing a process for exemptions. Guests with medical contraindications to the vaccine are permitted to travel, subject to pre-approval by Princess Cruises. Vaccination requirements do not apply to children aged 11 years and under. Fully vaccinated guests must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination (with the dates of doses received) at the terminal prior to boarding. Failure to provide this evidence will result in denial of boarding. Guests should always ensure they understand all requirements to travel from their home country to the destinations they plan to visit. Requirements are updated frequently, and official websites and apps developed by government agencies and tourism ministries are recommended sources for protocols. A specific law is not required to implement vaccination requirements. Also, having vaccination requirements is not in itself unlawful. The cruising industry and Commonwealth, and Australian State governments have agreed to guidelines aimed at mitigating the risk of COVID-19, which includes a minimum of 95% of guests on each cruise must be fully vaccinated. Anyone aged 12 or over who holds a valid medical exemption as defined by the Commonwealth Government will be permitted to cruise as long as the unvaccinated group is less than 5% of the total number of guests on board. Children under 12 years old who are not fully vaccinated are permitted to travel, and there is no limit on the number of unvaccinated children permitted to sail.
  18. We did a 13 night on the Majestic Princess to NZ in January and both came back negative (and New😉 ). We were up to date with the recommended jabs, wore masks as requested, and lots of "washy washy". We went to the theatre and other venues with crowds. One thing I did was use the sanitiser after handling the serving implements in the buffet before eating. We also avoided the overcrowded lifts. We also did a 10-night coastal and 6-night Tasmanian cruise late last year. I noticed that most fellow passengers are compliant at first, but it definitely slackens off towards the end, and even the crew start to drop the ball.😡
  19. I have front and back dashcams, just for that possibility.
  20. I came across this yesterday. No doubt there will be more from SA boarding.😉 New Zealand Departing Adelaide Monday 13th March 2023 14 Nights Pacific Explorer Twin From $550 pp Quad From $500 pp
  21. Here is a cheapie for the "Crow Eaters". New Zealand Departing Adelaide Monday 13th March 2023 14 Nights Pacific Explorer Twin From $550 pp Quad From $500 pp
  22. I'll start it off by saying you cannot take wine onboard. 1. You can bring up to 12, 600ml bottles of water/soft drink per passenger. What can I bring onboard 2. All staterooms are fitted with a standard Australian 3-point plug or adaptor providing 220/240 volt 60Hz. Adapters will be available for purchase if needed. Staterooms 3. ? 4. ? 5. No extra charge for gratuities when cruising from Australia, returning to Australia. Included in your fare. You can choose to give gratuities to any staff. They will love it. I usually give some to the cabin steward. Tipping
