  1. Of course if they can get where they want to go at price they are prepared to pay from Southampton why would you go from anywhere else.Without knowing where they are going it’s difficult to be so definite. Southampton is very small with a limited number of flights. Whereas there are easy links to Gatwick with much more choices of times which was the initial question.
  2. I would cancel the Cabana, just have 2 Vibe passes. The beds are plentiful, comfortable and the staff will move umbrellas to give you shade. We find we spend time in the hot tubs, seating at the bar socialising and at our beds. Seen people with Cabanas hardly use them. If onboard you still feel like you want one,I doubt they will all be taken so you could probably add it onboard.
  3. I have had alcohol on a NCL cruises in Greece and Spain, this is a NCL problem. I hope they sort it out soon. I can only ever remember paying tax on drinks in the port of Miami.
  4. Yes it is smaller on the Prima but still a substantial space. It’s designed like the Breakaway class wrapping around the ship. Yo would think they could close off one side for a private function and leave the other side open.
  5. We love the Vibe and on a warm weather cruise it’s a must for us. To just turn up when you are ready and have a great lounge chair, fab service and hot tubs with space or empty is so nice. We are willing to pay for that. We sail next on the Viva in September and are checking everyday and still can’t book online yet. I have tried phoning too and NCL reps can’t book it yet either. I appreciate your opinion that’s it a waste of money but I’m not sure that you can claim the other 4420 are with you (so you must be right) Some will be families that are not allowed as it’s an adults only area, some won’t know about it, some will find it outside of their budget, some were too late and it’s fully booked. There certainly felt like there was a lot of people who wanted it when we used to get to the port early and run to book it. That was on the 80 max and before pre booking.
  6. Sorry this happened, such a sad way to end what sounds like a fun cruise.
  7. We sailed on the Prima TA last year. I like sea days too and there is certainly plenty to do on the Prima. We liked the ship and have booked a Greek adventure on the Viva this year. The Prima more than any other NCL ship seems to be designed for hot dry weather. On a cold day everyone is inside and it feels cramped everywhere. There are lots of smaller spaces be they bars or entertainment venues. We loved Iceland but wouldn’t do it again.
  8. I would use your Free at Sea for Cagney’s and Onda and pay for the other two.
  9. Thanks for letting us know what to expect.
  10. We both enjoyed it and we weren’t sure it was for us. All 3 “Donnas” did a great job.
  11. I thought I saw smoked salmon in the Indulge Food Hall. After a search I found this:
  12. Yes was just going to say the same the photos are from outside the Vibe. I have been in the Vibe on 3 ships and have never seen anyone smoke.
  13. https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/Beverage_Packages_01232023.pdf We are thinking of getting the Free at Sea plus upgrade. We are basing our decision on the list above provided on NCL’s website. Are some of these not available? .
  14. The mini golf’s interactive parts weren’t working on the TA that’s why it was free. We played it a few times and it looked like it was going to be even better when up and running probably. Interestingly there was soot all over the parts of the golf course on that cruise.
  15. We were on the Encore through the Panama Canal in April. It is my favorite NCL cruise out of 10 we have done. Loved the ship we did have vibe passes. Loved sitting in a hot tub, cocktail in hand admiring the view. Staff were excellent across the ship. Enjoyed the ports too.
  16. Don’t see any indication that Indulge Food Hall would be a charge in the future. It felt like they split the buffet into the traditional buffet and took all the international cusine into the Food Hall concept. Where portions are controlled and waste is down so costs are less than the buffet and we get table service. I think the pads are the same as Food Republic and are an off the shelf product with 0.00 price points. They need to be able to charge drinks to your card as you can order alcohol to your table too. We loved the Food Hall concept and ate they several times on the recent TA.
  17. Just off the 12 night TA and will post a full review soon. I’ve seen some questions about the Spa so thought and I’d share my photos and thoughts. We loved the Spa and used it most days. We did miss the jacuzzi and the hydrotherapy pools. There is no escaping the tiny changing room that is badly designed with temperamental lockers. After day 2 we changed and showered in our room and didn’t use the changing room
  18. As someone that couldn’t get into Syd Norman’s to see Rumours I do think that NCL have misjudged some of the spaces. But you are right that some problems won’t be issues in warm weather but evening entertainment venues will still be too small.
  19. I caught Covid on a Panama Canal cruise in April. So that was a warm weather cruise.
  20. We had a balcony close to the slides for the upcoming TA, which was booked over a year ago.As I soon as the deck plans were confirmed on NCL we thought the slides and the infinity pool below us might be a problem for us. I rang NCL and they moved us to a balcony on deck 15 forward( same category) without a problem.
  21. I’ll be on her first TA on the 23th of this month. Looking forward to the whole cruise but sailing into New York will be special.
