No. The market won't support it.

It will be either Galveston or Port Canaveral, and I'd actually give a slight edge to Galveston.

    New build to Galveston

    Dream from Galveston to Norfolk

    Sunshine from Norfolk to retired

If Sunshine isn't retired, I could see a fourth ship in Galveston year-round, with the seasonal Spirit-class ship headed elsewhere - that would be the best chance for New Orleans, although I think Miami may be more likely (which was supposed to happen before Spirit wound up being redeployed to Mobile). That would allow New Orleans to have a 4 or 5 day cruise departing every Saturday, Thursday, and Monday.

New Orleans already has a 4 or 5-day cruise departing every Saturday, Thursday, and Monday.

aft of a ship is a nautical term to describe a vessel’s rear section or back end. The rear of the ship can also be called the stern, but aft is often the preferred term when discussing larger vessels like cruise ships.

I did purchase and then immediately went to fill out the form. The drop-down list to pick the excursion only have 5 options, which I thought was a mistake since amber cove had 20+to pick from. Then the comments box gives an error code no matter what you tried, so I couldn't even submit the form. That made me call them.

There are 2 excursions that are basically exact matches. Regarding the value, the price difference was about 120, so the net would be 130 in OBC.

Keep trying sorry you are having a problem.

Anyone know who to contact at Carnival to discuss? I don't see John Heald has a messaging option on Facebook.

The "Best Price Guarantee" is posted everywhere. I found a shore excursion (Monkeyland in Amber Cove) that is $150 cheaper for our family by booking direct through Viator. The guarantee claim form does not work on the website for filing a claim,  so I called customer service.  They sent me over to the excursion group, and ultimately told me there are actually only a few excursions that qualify for the guarantee. I tried to get them to understand how that doesn't make sense, because every single shore excursion webpage notes this language "Find a better price for any excursion we offer and we will refund you 110% of the price difference!".  Trying to understand how Carnival can put the Best Price Guarantee on every page, but then state it's only available for certain excursions without any exclusions listed.

I tried to ask for a supervisor or to escalate, and the rep just kept stating that this is the only department that handles the claims.

You have to buy the Carnival excursions and then file the claim. It worked for us several times. They denied both of them at first and appealed and after an exchange of emails, they were approved. Once, we did one while onboard and this was approved right away by the shipboard staff. Good luck.

  5. I think after seven years you do not have any legal recourse but you may need to consult an attorney. I hope you have checked to see if the travel agent was ever arrested or sued. If so then you may find out if there were any recovered funds available. I would try to contact Carnival's legal department since generally have a brain and may be willing to listen to you and your evidence.  Good luck. I hate that scammers are everywhere and the travel industry is no exception. this is a good lesson- if a business does not take credit cards don't deal with them.

Yes, it is. I will look for veterans (usually wearing a cap or tee shirt naming their branch) while on my cruise and buy them a drink and thank them for their service.

Okay, that is a good reason.

no...giving them your "free" drinks...  yes

Right, I have never bought Cheers but several people have offered to get me drinks on the Cheers so I knew but a few I just met on the cruise.

On most if not all cruises, passengers hide and find ducks. If you find a duck, you can keep it or rehide it. It's been going on for years. Jeep owners do the same thing on land.

If you find the jeep do you get to keep it?

    From CCL website:

    1. Minor Guest Policy: Guests are required to be 21 years of age (on embarkation day) to travel on their own.

I gather that means to have cabin on their own.  Booking a 20 year old and an infant in 1 cabin doesn't meet CCL's requirement.

I was referring to this policy:

    • Guests 12 and younger
If the relative or guardian insists on booking separate staterooms, minors must either be directly across the hall or next door. Guests 12 and under may not be assigned to a balcony stateroom without a relative or guardian (25 years of age or older) traveling in the balcony stateroom with them.

I understand the original posters concern is a little different since she is claiming a bait and switch was done to her family.
