  1. So, Jack and I didn't heed the warnings, and now as of today, both of our LG cell phones are not working except for ER calls. We'll have to get new cell phones and not sure our apps can be transferred. Jack is now, as we speak, at a 2nd Metro store to see what can be done. We didn't like the clerk in the first Metro store we went to. Didn't get good vibes from him. He gave us absolutely no advice saying "I can't do anything". I had stuff to do at home and am awaiting for Jack's return to see if he was successful in....getting something accomplished. AND we just gave up our landline a few days ago since we never used it!! I sent friends and family an email letting them know that email will be our only means of communication until we get new phones which hopefully will be no later than tomorrow.
  2. I hope your trip down memory lane brought smiles to your face. @helen haywoodHave a fantastic anniversary. @sgmnHappy birthday to your Gary.
  3. No, that one is not familiar. Our go to NJ diner when we lived in NY was the Park Ridge Diner. We've been to one in I think Hackensack. Another one in Paramus on Route 4, and in Rockland County, The New City Diner, Nanuet Diner, Blauvelt Diner. My daughter is close to one near her house but I forget the name. Now that one sounds familiar. Oh I remember those Catskill Mts bug splatters very well. Our car was covered in dead bugs driving thru those mountains. Ewww!
  4. There is NOTHING like a NJ Diner. I think we've been to every diner in Bergen County. Can't wait to be in NJ for 2 weeks in mid-June for. our grandson's Middle School graduation. Enjoy the beach, where salt lowers blood pressure!
  5. @singinalotCrystal and Nate, treasure every new moment in this newest chapter of your lives. New memories to be made. May they all be sweet.
  6. Thank you for sharing your cruise with us. Your pictures are truly spectacular.
  7. This conversation took place a short while after moving to Texas: I ran into a neighbor once who said her son was so excited to be going to a Rangers game that night. I asked if he's a sports fan and she said absolutely. I told her he must love hockey. She said not as much as baseball. I asked if the Rangers play many games in Texas. We finally figured out we were both talking about two completely different teams/sports. I had no idea Texas had a baseball team!. At least I knew what sport the NJ Rangers play....slinking away in shame. Once at work in TX, we had spirit day when the Rangers (baseball, lol) played against the Yankees in the World Series. I was the only one to show up wearing a Yankees cap. i was politely told by my boss to please remove it!! Honest! Texans are very proud and passionate about their TX sports. Apparently, I'm not. And yes, I removed my cap. I never argue with the person who signs my paychecks. πŸ˜‰
