  1. Interesting. Is this from your cruise planner? I was on the Celebrity website drink comparison. I’ll be taking a screen shot of this and bringing it with me!
  2. It’s very clear now what is/ is not included. The classic package does not include all options in the Zero proof package. You would need to upgrade. Scroll to the bottom. https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/onboard-packages/beverage-packages/compare-packages In the picture attached, classic inclusions are on the left, premium on the right. Also adding, looks like (from what Celebrity have listed in the drink package comparison) if you want a virgin cocktail - zero proof drink from the bar- it is not included anymore in the classic package. That’s disappointing . I hope it’s a typo.
  3. I will second everything AstoriaPreppy just posted. We followed the same plan. In Greenland you do not need a tour. You can easily walk around and follow the one road to the highest point. The views are spectacular. We also rented a car in Akureyri, We rented a car from Akureyri rent a car. https://akureyrirentacar.is Car was waiting for us ( with an agent ) in the first parking lot leaving the ship and was an easy drop off to the same place. I would highly recommend . Isafjord we rented ATVs ( private tour) https://atv-isafjordur.is Again, an amazing tour of the both city and off road. Once we arrived in Reykjavik we rented a car and headed to the Southcoast for 4 days of site seeing. That was the most amazing part of the whole trip. I recommend if you are travelling all the way to Iceland, you might want to stay a couple of extra days to see it all, We also stayed a night at the Blue Lagoon. So much to see and do . Here is Qaqortoq Greenland:
  4. Ferries don’t run from Road Town on Sunday. We too are visiting on a Sunday. So getting over there is the problem. We actually rented a car to tour the bath area and beyond- never thought we wouldn’t have a way to get over. So cancelled the car and booked the snorkel tour to the Baths through Celebrity . Hoping because there isn’t a ferry running it - might- be a bit quieter?
  5. It’s in the app. Under dining, main restaurant, wine, then scroll down to the bottom. $259 for 5 bottles premium $199 for 5 bottles basic
  6. Tortola ( Road Town) to Virgin Gorda and return on a ferry to visit the baths …as we arrive by cruise ship in March. That’s where we are planning to go and rented a car ( now cancelled) This was great information on alternate ways to see Virgin Gorda outside a cruise ship excursion except it doesn’t work on Sundays. The ferry company has already responded they don’t go that route on Sunday. Taking a 1/2 hour cab ride to the airport and back to then take a ferry from there will not be feasible with our time in port. So it appears I have no choice but to book with the cruise line. I was hopeful someone on here was going to say that the ferry might still run if a cruise ship is in port, but again, they confirmed they don’t.
  7. Not from Road Town to virgin Gorda.
  8. Looks like a ship excursion is the only way to go if you stop in Tortola on Sunday . There is no ferry service on Sundays.
  9. Ugh… This was such great information, I went ahead and rented a car ( $45) for our visit to the Baths at Virgin Gorda. Sounded easy enough, take a ferry from our port stop in Tortola, and the car will be waiting on the other side for us to make our way around on our own. But…. THERE IS NO FERRY ON SUNDAY when our cruise visits the island. So, looks like a ship excursion is the only way? Anyone have any alternate info to share?
  10. This just showed up on our reservation as well, with an order date of 11/04/ 2023! And only for one passenger. So, we never added anything, except dining. We have a no perks cruise booked for March. This says we ordered Drinks and wifi NEXT Nov. - our cruise will be over!
  11. We extended as well with CIBC at a very reasonable cost. I would call again. Or check out here. https://www.hsbc.ca/credit-cards/insurance/ Im not sure what card you have.
  12. I’m using it mostly to send messages home. The Celebrity app works ok , but not really too much more then that. . Some social media sites - And to follow these boards. It’s very slow and requires a tremendous amount of patience.
  13. I can help out on this one. This is our first Celebrity cruise, so you are getting a “newbies” point of view! There are a few very well behaved children that we have encountered with their families. We met three different families with children under 10. There was about 5 teens roaming the ship last night looking for food. They thought the buffet was closed, we directed them to the aft of the buffet for late night snacks- their faces lit up and were very grateful . Again, well behaved and just looking for food. In my opinion, the solarium has been busy on sea days , but we’ve never had a problem getting a chair somewhere. I have not noticed ANY chair hogs😂. After 5, it’s seems to be a ghost town. Hot tubs all to ourselves. We are in our late 40s and don’t see too many guests our age. The sky lounge is full right now, a sea day at 11am with everyone enjoying the view , and there is trivia but it was empty last night at 9:30/ 10:30with dance music.
  14. Porter was awesome. Flight was delayed 1/2 hr but communication was great and agents were courteous. Bags were on the carousel in EWR waiting for us! The recommendation about flying on an earlier flight to EWR was a good recommendation. Flights were delayed as the day went on. But over all I highly recommend!
  15. I’m heading out on a Porter flight on Saturday. I’ll let you know, as this is our first time.
  16. I’m getting so excited for this cruise reading your posts. Back to packing. See you onboard!
  17. I've been researching this for months now. In our case, both mine and my spouses medical coverage does not cover Covid interruption ( hotel for isolation/airfare back home/ reimbursement for expenses ect). It is in the very fine print of our policies. We also have a travel credit card with fantastic coverage, but again, not the Covid specific coverage we are looking for. I bought this insurance for our March cruise, and will buy again for our Iceland cruise. I am not going to rely on the cruise line to cover expenses . https://www.manulife-insurance.ca/costco/travel-insurance/travelling-canadians.html?MKT=H76&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5vbrnsuf9AIVEiM4Ch2ARQLcEAAYASAAEgKa6fD_BwE
  18. I too have a deck 6 forward balcony booked ( sweet 16) on the 12 day Summit Iceland cruise in 2 weeks. . I will let you know what it looks like as our cruise has been sold old for months.
  19. The app is very easy! Just an FYI, once you load all your info into the app, your vaccination status will show PENDING. Dont’t worry if it stays in the state until a few weeks before sailing. Also, you will continue to receive reminder emails- I want to say weekly- from Celebrity asking you for you vaccination status. Even after it’s approved😂 We sail in a few weeks and it’s become a regular thing. Most on our sailing are experiencing the same thing! IT at its best!!!
  20. I just booked our flight this morning with Celebrity Air for next March. . My flight is with Air Canada. When I inquired about purchasing seats, I was told that only airlines operating in the US will allow seat selection before full payment . He said, United, American Airlines, Delta.. and also said that Air Canada does not usually allow it. But I can call them and ask. I’m not ready to be on hold for 2 hours ( Air Canada is an absolute mess right now with cancelations and delays) so I will wait. But the suggestion to call the airlines directly would be the way to go.
  21. Doesn’t work like that here. Ontario is currently limiting fourth doses to people over age 60, as well as adults of any age who are Indigenous, living in long-term care, or immunocompromised. About 1.4 million people qualify, leaving roughly six million people who had a booster last winter ineligible to get another shot now.
