  1. Since nobody has responded to you, I am replying with our experience from Oct 2022... We booked a one-way transfer from IAH to the Doubletree. The service was great and the driver was very professional. It is likely that the Galveston Hilton would be included in their service.
  2. Thank you @MagnoliaBlossom! We tremendously enjoyed meeting each of you! Sadly, BG did NOT receive any photos on this cruise from the military gathering. 🤔😒 (Perhaps it was placed at someone else's door by a crew member with dyslexia?!) @graphicguy Thank you for setting up the M&G!!! Hopefully, you are fully healed very soon!!!
  3. I've never bothered to try it on the SKY. IF they have a package, it would be very limited usage, since the SPA is quite small. (Not a large "thermal suite")
  4. @ozziebound Unfortunately, many items on NCL's site are out-of-date (and/or poorly worded), especially, within their helpful (or NOT) information. Also, it seems that NCL (post- covid) is no longer providing the same level of supervision for Splash Academy as they did Pre-Covid. I hope your family has a safe and wonderful cruise.
  5. Currently, there's a nice ongoing review of the Star ...
  6. We have enjoyed either 10506, or 10006. Not only is there a forward facing balcony, there is also a side facing balcony. Both are nicely sized, and furnished for different activities. Depending on what we were planning, one balcony (or both) served us nicely. We invited some fellow cruisers to visit for drinks after returning from an excursion once. Aside from the two of us, there were 4 other couples, and a few singles on the front balcony (while we were still in port. (Very windy once the ship got moving!)
  7. Here's a good place to start: https://www.ncl.com/cruise-ship/sky FYI: The SKY has the "Hawaii" look because, between 2004 and 2008, she sailed as Pride of Aloha for NCL America. Rooms are smaller than on newer ships. The ship is nice and enjoyable, if you don't care about the things that are on the larger ships. We thoroughly enjoyed a 9-day in December 2022!
  8. The first thing you need to know is that not everyone gets invited to bid. Sometimes, if a travel agent was used for the booking, no offer will be given, but, some TAs do participate). And, often it is true you will not get initiation if you booked a "Sail Away" rate. IF you are eligible, you will get an email to bid. Also, you can look to see if there is a message to you in your MY NCL account Message Center. Offers are after "Final Payment" has been made!
  9. I was referring to what would be already included with some bookings. That's what I was thinking, also!
  10. It looks like you ordered the same type meal I would, including the dessert "Exclamation Point!" 😆
  11. Flow water cartons are only included in the upgraded beverage package. Or, certainly Latitudes levels receive one or two bottles each.
  12. I can't truly answer your question, but we once sent laundry out (using the voucher) and it happened to come back on the same day (w/no extra charge). We were pleased, but very surprised!
  13. Your experience will depend on how busy your butler is attending to all of her/his /assigned suites. Hopefully, the nearby slide (outside of your balcony) does not bother you as much as some previous cruisers have claimed it bothered them.
  14. You will find your muster station printed on your room card, once you have checked-in with the port representatives inside the terminal. NOTE: They represent NCL, but are employed by the port!
  15. I can't tell you for certain, but I can tell you that a 5-day on the Jade is currently listed at $149.00. You should anticipate $119.00+/-!
  16. The simple answer is "age matters!" (Statistically speaking)
  17. First, I will say that if your room happens to be a CLUB BALCONY SUITE, there is no butler or concierge service. (Plenty of people, understandably, mistake the name to be a full suite!) There is no added charge for the delivered snacks. If you order meals from specialty restaurants you will have to use Free at Sea Dining Credit(s), or pay outright for the meal. Your Butler can provide you more information regarding your specific case. If you want no extra fee meals delivered to your room, be sure to ask you butler your questions to ensure that what your want is an option. Tipping amount is very personal, and only you can determine the value you receive! Some people are VERY generous and others can be miserly, but there is no set guideline for tipping. You may tip when and how much you please! None-the-less, do be aware that the Butlers often have a dozen, or more, rooms to service. Therefore, try to give them plenty of notice! Enjoy!
  18. You probably will benefit from looking at relative information on this link: https://www.ncl.com/about/accessible-cruising#dietary-requirements Submit your form sooner, rather than later! Follow-up if you don't get a response within two weeks of submitted the form.
  19. This currently looks lovely... https://www.visitgalveston.com/webcams/seawall-beach-webcam/
  20. Yes, fog in Houston and Galveston areas can definitely be an issue this time of year.
  21. Most "new to NCL cruises" don't realize that the "Check-In" time is for arriving at the port! Once you have passed through the check-in desk, you will be sent to appropriate area within the terminal. Actual boarding takes place in the following order (more or less)... 1) Haven and Suites 2) Wheel chair assistance 3) Latitudes status (Ambassadors, Diamonds, etc. ...other priority statuses) 4) all others or as you arrive at the port if the above have cleared the Check-In areas. I hope that answered your questions.
  22. https://www.ncl.com/about/cancellation-fee-schedule (see terms below!) Name substitutions and departure date changes for cruise, land and other add-ons are considered cancellations and are subject to cancellation fees.
  23. It can be done, however, you would likely have a "change fee" added, since you are past final payment. (You would request a "change of passenger", not, a change of names!)
  24. 1. We don't have any experience with doing an upgrade, but, I believe you have the correct info. 2. You can log into your account and book shows around 21 days pre-cruise (basically the same time as "Check-in" for your cruise. *Note "Check-In" is providing your information and watching the Safety Video. When you select a time, that time is for arrival at the port. Your actual boarding time will be approximately 11:30 (in most cases). 3. As for your first meal onboard, I believe you have the correct idea. Just ask which Main Dining room is open. 4. Yes, you may order any appetizers, sides, and desserts you desire.
  25. NCL's system doesn't allow bookings for shows within 2 hours of your restaurant booking. You should be fine with a 6:30 dinner prior to the later show times.
