  1. Do you fund your sail and sign with gift cards? If you have an overage of more than ten dollars at the end of the cruise you are supposed to get a gift card refund for that amount.
  2. It is legit. I have received a few refunds this way.
  3. I email my request to shareholders@carnival.com. The Carnival brochure I have attached tells all you need to add to email. It is best to block out your account numbers. ShareholderBenefit2023-2024.pdf
  4. Using a cup to pour water into a small bottle top would likely spread around more germs with all the spillage that will surely occur.
  5. That was only hypothetical 🤣 as that would be beyond my pay grade. I am doing a 14 day Alaska next year and some of the people in the social media roll call are actually doing the 16 day Panama canal Spirit cruise and the 14 day Alaska. But there are a few combos that could cause this problem. Fifty dollars isn't the end of the world, you are correct but 250 would bug me a lot!
  6. For someone who takes a long B2B like a 16 day Panama canal cruise along with a 14 day Alaska cruise this could mean only one 250 dollar credit instead of two separately under Carnival's idea of it being one long cruise. Unfortunately Carnival's shareholder benefit brochure provides no clarity on how back to back cruises will be handled. This can lead to the usual Carnival way of three different employees giving you three different answers.
  7. Did they put the 100 credit on one booking like mine or split it up?
  8. Maybe the trick here would be to apply for the credit separately a few weeks apart. Water under the bridge for your current situation but maybe it would work to get the full 150 you would normally get.
  9. I have two 5 day cruises back to back in November and I got $100 which would be correct but they stuck it all on the 2nd cruise instead of 50 for each.
  10. Unfortunately I can't help you with that as I had my erroneous charge removed via email. I would hope they would send a receipt but who knows. Carnival really needs to improve this. A nice automated website to pay would be best.
  11. It is indeed a very frustrating experience. Did you try the phone number to pay by credit card? That would seem to be the easiest but they list three different extensions to to pay and probably answer none of them.
  12. Here is a copy of my demand letter if any of the phone numbers will help you ANGELARBDND060123031420.pdf
  13. I received a demand letter for payment for two bottles of water I never used. The invoice number was at the top of the pdf file they sent via email. For me the invoice number was my booking number plus extra digits. I tried contacting via phone and it is very frustrating like you said. No one will answer. They have a phone number listed on the demand email where you can pay by phone with credit card. I ended up emailing to have the charge removed because I don't use the room water bottles ever. It took Carnival weeks to respond. Very frustrating to get off the ship with a nice clean zero balance and then receive a demand letter that has zero information about what the charge is for.
  14. Deck one on the Spirit was awesome. There is only one caveat here---- know what is above you. A person out here was directly below a public restroom and it was flush after flush all day. Rooms 1153, 1157, 1161, 1165 are directly below the casino bathroom on the Spirit Class.
  15. The regular balconies on deck 4 of the Legend are fine and not above anything that would be bad. Back is above MDR no big deal. The midship balconies are mostly above pixels which will be super quiet at night. Nothing crazy like a nightclub right below. In OPs case I would stand pat with the balcony on deck 4.
  16. I did indeed. Hopefully it will work well. Could come in handy on cruises.
  17. What Carnival needs is for your booking name to match your picture ID. A different last name on BC won't bother them as long as you meet this requirement.
  18. My daughter bought cheers for me once. It was nice and all but I got tired of drinking after a while. In my 30's cheers would have been a no brainer but the 56 year old me can't hang like I used to. It is a la carte for me now so I can drink on selected days thrown in with my bottle of wine and the platinum party is enough for me now. This getting older isn't all its cracked up to be 😉
  19. For a seven day cruise it is almost 1000 dollars for cheers for two. You can buy a lot of drinks a la carte for that. You may find yourself tired of drinking coffee and energy drinks after a while.
  20. I think the shareholders and guestadmin emails all end up in the same place. I submitted mine to shareholders@carnival.com and the response came from guestadmin@carnival.com
  21. I think the Panorama departure is only for a dry dock across the Pacific in Sept. There are cruises out of LB through April 2025. I think the Firenze is more of a replacement for the Miracle. Looks like Radiance is doing more Hawaii type routes in the future.
  22. For flights it has now been pushed back yet again to May 7th, 2025. I do not believe the cruises ever need real ID to board unless the cruiselines decide to do it on their own.
  23. Yes. No mention in the email but in the sign up area it did mention it.
  24. You and me both. My AARP now expires in 2032 😁 I got an email from Capital One a couple days later saying my 23 dollars was on the way in 2-3 billing cycles. Better late than never!
  25. A fair amount of credit cards have a deal with AARP. For me I can do Bank of America with 8 dollars back. I also have the Quicksilver with CapitalOne that has 23 dollars back so I renewed for 5 years for 63 dollars and am getting back 23 making it 40 dollars or 8 per year. So be sure to check your various credit cards for deals. Allstate rewards looks like it is morphing into a shopping website.
