  1. Best way to save now is buy Cheers before the cruise for the lower price with the 10 percent off gift cards purchased through AARP or Allstate rewards. If you use your BofA cash rewards card set to online purchases to buy these gift cards that will yield you another 3 percent off. If you purchase this way your daily cost will be 61.54 instead of 70.74 per day including the 18 percent gratuity.
  2. There are some on board photos of the Miracle dry dock on the Carnival Miracle page on the social media page that shall not be named.
  3. Plus one, everything you said above plus I love the triple length balconies to go with all this!
  4. You are correct. Tipping is now a great way to virtue signal. I feel the 18 percent added to drinks to be quite adequate. What cracks me up is seeing tip jars at drive thru fast food restaurants. Things are out of hand 😉
  5. I have been charged for the pool towels on two separate occasions over the years. I don't even use them. Had to call to have charges removed. I don't know who would want to remove the raggedy things they call pool towels from the ship.
  6. I bought one from Amazon from this link for 6 dollars with shipping included. Good deal. Now I don't have to borrow the room service trays 😉
  7. I simply find one of the numerous trays laying on the floor in the hallways, take it back to my room and clean it up, and I have a tray for the duration of the cruise 😉 . When not in use I stash it in the closet so the room steward doesn't remove it. The Spirit class triple length balconies make great dining areas in lieu of the lido area.
  8. That would be a two category upgrade from the hairy chest competition.
  9. Carnival has really muddied the water with calling a gratuity a service charge. It used to be that drink purchases had the line " gratuity" which is the 18 percent charge, followed by the "additional gratuity" line you could add to. Now the drinks receipt has "service charge" followed by a "gratuity" line. This play on words is duping people into thinking they haven't left a tip when in fact the service charge is supposed to be the tip.
  10. You don't need to do this any more. Carnival is now back to showing the document when you log in to Carnival.com. This was very handy for a while when Carnival stopped showing the document for some reason.
  11. I submitted on Aug 14th and was approved on Sept 13th so it took a whole month but they got it done.
