  1. Getting moved isn't automatic. There is a possibility of being moved if Carnival needs a room that supports what you are in that is now underbooked. Off season cruises this shouldn't be a problem. If you have a booking over spring break or summer then your odds go way up of getting moved.
  2. What rules are these? A no show is not a cancellation.
  3. I will be on the Miracle on Nov 2nd. I will ask some workers. Wish we could see a deck plan that shows all the areas!
  4. That is a good question they appear to be below an area connected to the bridge but I am guessing a crew bar would be deep in the bowels of the ship. Even if the noise is from the theater it should be limited to only around 10 pm. I have seen the doors closed for practice in the main lounge but only during the day.
  5. None. I have stayed in 6232 on the MIracle which is 4 decks directly above the Dr Frankenstein's lab nightclub and have felt the pulse of the bass. It is was no big deal but it was there. It is more feeling than hearing the bass and it does travel through metal.
  6. It is only three decks below or about 30 feet away from their room. Bass unfortunately you can feel from quite far away sometimes. Like the cars with the super bass boom boxes I can feel it pulse through my house when some kid drives by blaring their stereo.
  7. Leaving in Oct 2024 to Galveston, then in April 2025 dry dock and then sailings from Europe and eventually back to Tampa in Nov 2025.
  8. After reading your tale of woe I am glad the agent at the Long Beach terminal declined to apply gift cards for me. I don't know if that is Long Beach policy or the agent was being lazy but it worked out okay. I have had good luck at the sail and sign kiosks the last few trips. They used to not work for me most of the time in the past. I always have the kiosk spit out a printed receipt of the transaction just in case.
  9. Well I have blown all my points (that I can) like a sailor on the cheers program. I don't know how but I have one random point left 😉
  10. All 5 of the cards are already in someone else's cart 😉
  11. At Long Beach I had to apply it once onboard, which was no big deal. I applied it at the sail and sign kiosk. Guest services can apply gift cards also.
  12. True that. I would be willing to bet most Carnival food, however, is chock full of sodium.
  13. Privacy and an extra bathroom means I would choose two rooms over a suite.
  14. I have not but it looks pretty good schedule wise. I want to check out La Paz.
  15. I found one for April 2025 so I am happy enough for now. I like to walk around Cabo and a couple weeks ago I went and we left at 2:00 so I didn't make my pilgrimage to Cabo Wabo this time. I wake up a bit later and by the time we got into Port it was almost 11 am. I love the blue waters of the Caribbean but Long Beach is so easy to sail from for me I end up on this cruise a lot. Still a fun trip despite the number of times I have done it. Actually when there are two days to come back there is 57 hours of time from 9 pm after leaving Puerto Vallarta to 7 am arrival time. That would come out to a reasonable 16 knots average speed. I think we had more issue getting to Cabo going down we have arrived late a few times.
  16. 8 out of my 10 Mexican Riviera cruises have been Cabo first. It has never been an issue getting back on time and in fact we used to pull into Long Beach early in the am around 6. Protected waters has nothing to do with this change either. We aren't going around Cape Horn or even really doing anything other than hugging the coastline for the most part. Each to their own, I guess Carnival should stop going to Hawaii if protected waters are so important! There is actually an 8 day that does Cabo first in April 2025 so I may book that. I would like to check out La Paz since I have only done the 7 day cruises as of yet.
  17. S2S are great but I wasn't given any early boarding when I went from the Splendor to the Spirit out of Seattle to Alaska last year. Almost no walk at all in Seattle which was great.
  18. They are still going with Cabo last on the 8 day so it's a no go for me. Leaving Cabo at 2:30 pm is ridiculous. Cabo used to be first with a much more reasonable 11 am to 7 pm schedule.
  19. If I could have a coworker bite the bullet and pay for half my cruise and leaving me solo they would be my new best friend 😉
  20. All this talk got me booked on the Legend out of Galveston in Nov 2025. Couldn't resist Celebration Key, HMC, Grand Turk, and Amber Cove. Just hope Galveston isn't too hard to get to from Houston Hobby Airport!
  21. This is definitely a no show situation. No volunteering any info at the terminal either, they are just arriving separately. The guy who cannot go shouldn't even call Carnival after the fact. Let sleeping dogs lie and he will get his port fees and any prepaid gratuities, excursions, etc back some time after the cruise.
  22. I have been wanting to do this also but every time I go to check out the paypal option briefly flashes and then disappears. AARP states it is temporarily not working for the last month or so.
  23. That is what I do except I load a bunch all at once. The good thing about gift cards on sail and sign is they will refund any excess balance over 10 dollars at the end of the cruise to a new gift card.
  24. They're just pulling our lariat! Actually I think they are just trying to be scary for Halloween.
  25. Carnival's website update appears to have taken two steps backwards.
