  1. Agree...it doesn't say "Neptune Lounge Honor Bar". Not sure that is what they are trying to say.
  2. Oddly, a couple of times a ship held our passports to speed clearance into a country, we have received stamps from those countries. But otherwise, no stamps from most countries we have sailed in and stopped there. Probably way under 10% of the countries we have sailed into have stamped our passports.
  3. February is a whole different story. Main part of whale season. Whale party just off the shore.
  4. Tendering in at Lahaina gives you access to snorkeling tours out of Lahaina Harbor, which is where you tender to. We second the recommendation for Capt Steve's, but it takes a little more effort. Mid April is very late in whale season, you probably will be limited in whale watching tours...most shut down by April 15, if not sooner.
  5. In some cases cruise lines have different arrangements with the ports for services, so I wouldn't expect the fees to be the same cruise line to cruise line. For example, as Carnival Corp built Grand Turk's facilities, I think they are paying less to dock there.
  6. Yes, after final payment, but before boarding. I would be surprised if a port fee would increase after you had actually sailed. IIRC, it was about $37 for the cabin.
  7. Not true. For and example, the fee for the Panama Canal increased after final payment. The additional $$$ was charged to our room.
  8. No. Have toured the Bridge a couple times since 9/11, but not since around 2011 or 2012.
  9. I get all that. We had a Covid cancelation of a cruise we had already paid for. We got a 125% credit, and applied it to a new cruise. Never put any money down, just made final payment when due. That is why I asked the questions I asked.
  10. It happens occasionally... a couple of times in our cruising history. Perhaps the rates dropped. Perhaps services they had planned on from the port didn't actually get used. Of course, the reverse has happened a couple times as well.
  11. Isn't that what FCC are for? Or are you saying the FCC is to be used to decrease the cost of a future cruise, or be used on board?
  12. This...have never uploaded a picture. Hasn't hindered us at all...
  13. ALWAYS? No, of course not. We were there in July last summer, no problem. Isafjordur is a relatively small port, ONLY the SMALLER cruise ships dock there...most have to tender. There have been discussions here about the IMPROVEMENT of the port, and what ships get to dock there. Maybe that long awaited improvement project is UNDERWAY. Immediately below, as I write this, is a related thread on the topic. A note...writing in all caps is considered yelling and against Cruise Critic rules.
  14. When was your tour? Things have changed a lot. We were also on the bridge at sea during our behind the scenes tour, but that was a lot time ago...like 2010 or 11. In the later part of the 20-teens decade, going to the bridge while at sea seemed to no longer be allowed.
  15. The solution for this problem is not to fly in the day of sailing, not holding the ship! 😁
  16. Cheaper airfare and delayed final payment aren't fairly significant benefits? That being said, we, like many others, prefer to have more control over our flight bookings, for a number of reasons. We haven't booked airfare through a cruise line in 30+ years. So if ou can get the same or similar price on your own, take it. I haven't seen "numerous" comments about lost bookings. A couple, maybe. Things can, and do go wrong with booking direct as well.
  17. Reports have ben its not required any more.
  18. The free galley tour has been around for quite awhile. Its usually the first sea day around 10am. I am not sure if those have resumed post Covid....I don't remember them on our 3 cruises in 2022.
  19. Pretty sure they do. Plus a faucet as part of the beach shower set up.
  20. The Villas and the Oasis do have a restroom. The Cabanas do not.
  21. Have you looked around the board? Every port is covered extensively, with several private tour operators mentioned in each port.
  22. They have a couple of different transport options. Talk to your butler...they will get you there.
  23. Not that I have ever encountered. And we have booked 10 of them.
  24. The stop is actually in Anchorage.
