  1. What time is your flight? Before 11:30 for an international flight is going to be interesting...
  2. They MIGHT surge port to another destination, but seriously doubt they will surge from a hotel. Otherwise, just take a cab. $13 before tip, Seattle Hilton (downtown area)to Pier 91. Is that a budget breaker?
  3. Given HAL is down 4 ships, something has to give, but as mentioned, they had seriously decreased their interest in Bermuda before Covid.
  4. They mix and match. All depends on the terms of their contracts. Never know how they will appear again.
  5. Pretty sure the 3 NEWEST, Pinnacle class ships for HAL are the only ones with family sized rooms.
  6. Everything was always better in the past....we always had it tougher...things were always cheaper... Best summarized by the old lament "I walked to school every day...in the snow...uphill, both ways...
  7. You are talking a 2 week difference...not really any significant difference in either. Maybe a little warmer, but still warm. You might be over thinking this a bit. The last few (like 10) summers have been record setting warmth in June and July. We saw temps near 100 in Italy in early June 2017, central Europe broke all kinds of records last July. We are in AMS right now, heading to Paris today, last week was pretty warm by their standards here.
  8. There are a couple very low price airlines in Europe, but I have one idea what their routes are. Keep in mind some of those may operate out of the other Rome airport, Ciampino.
  9. Same answer as posted on the Greece board. Flying is the pretty obvious choice. Driving or train would take too long.
  10. Why stay at the airport? Not even the flight crews stay at the airport...they are staying with us at the DoubleTree with us right now...right next to the Centraal train station. MUCH better.
  11. Hmmm...having problems getting on the HAL site, but pretty sure SQ is a Neptune. Thought only SS, SY and SZ were Signature.
  12. 2025 to April has been released. 2025 to about October will probably be released in the next month or two.
  13. SQ is a Neptune level Suite. If you look at the HAL website, or around this board, you will find all sorts of info on Neptune Suite perks. You will also find the SQ balconies are not as big as the SA and SB balconies.
  14. Wow...we are arguing about the definition of "spoiled". That really says something, in my mind. And it's not good.
  15. 12:50 is fine. You could have your ride pick you up at 8am.
  16. It can go really quick, with the appointment for the in person appointment always being the slow part for us.
  17. There are a couple of threads on this topic just down the board. It's generally cheaper to stay in FLL, and the later in the day you arrive in FLL, the more limited and expensive transportation to Miami becomes. So, better to stay in FLL, and get transportation direct to PortMiami the next morning. Shuttles and Uber/Lyft are recommended here daily.
  18. Until the check in and embarking process has started, you are standing outside.
  19. 4 cruises in Alaska, almost 40 days, never brought waterproof shoes. Been rained on, sleeted on, and walked on a glacier on a helicopter tour. Understand there was some risk in getting soaked shoes, but didn't happen. Didn't do any serious hiking, just walking.
  20. I would be asking this on the Princess board. The Mods will undoubtedly move it there. Dressy nights are usually the second night, and the second to last night.
  21. Once you get on board and talk to the staff, it will be worked out. I absolutely wouldn't be planning on eating in our cabin for this reason.
  22. Flying in the day of, and not seeing one of the most wonderful cities in the world? Either way, arriving at 10:25 is not comfortable to me. And by the way, this is from a person that just flew into Amsterdam today, everything went perfectly, but I can't sleep tonight because the jetlag is killing me. But I am not tied to a cruise schedule, as this is a land trip. But if I were on a cruise, I would have very little time to adjust, flying in the day of sailing. By the way, if something is going to hang you up at the airport, it's Immigration (not Customs) and claiming your luggage, notoriously slow at FCO. Customs took exactly zero time today at AMS.
