  1. So....you booked the flight without knowing if you could make it? This is not going to be easy. Arriving at 6 doesn't mean getting off at 6:10. In fact, HAL is known for not allowing anyone off before 7:15 or 7:30. Heck, we docked before 5am one time, nobody was allowed off before 7:15. There are taxi stands at each terminal. MIA is a large, complicated airport that can be crowded and slow. Good luck.
  2. Have you asked on the Princess board, as this is specific to a Princess ship, and their policies on opening the bow? Most ships will open the bow if possible, as entering a lock and viewing that from the bow is a great experience. However, not all ships have an area appropriate for the public to gather. Yes, staying on your balcony alone is not recommended. As discussed here frequently, you need to be all over the ship. Be on the Promenade (or similar) deck when the ship is going up or down in a lock...another special and unique location to get a feel for what the locks are doing.
  3. You asking about a flight? Yes...but it's going to require you getting off the ship at the earliest opportunity. Like carrying your bags and maybe grabbing a cab.
  4. They will be checked through to Athens. But you will have to go through Passport Check (Immigration) at MUC.
  5. No. Anza provides free shuttle service to the airport, as do the other offsite parking operators.
  6. Yes. MUC is a very well designed and efficient airport.
  7. The airport affiliated parking is more expensive than the non-affiliated parking...by about 25 or 30%.
  8. There is no charge to tender from the ship to the shore.
  9. Delta and American aren't partners, so no, you won't get miles for flights on Delta.
  10. The regular parking lots at SFO (we use Anza) have no time limits.
  11. There will be a standard US style plug, an EU plug, and a USB plug.
  12. The better place for your research would be the Holland America board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/103-holland-america-line/ Many experts there that will know, but I think the answer is the J class Insides.
  13. Yes, I have been there. But if you already had the answers...
  14. Not sure why a train would be iffy? Train systems in Europe are awesome. No, there won't be tour vendors at the port. That is typically not done in Europe.
  15. You can get an estimate at the Uber website. A little Google mapping would reveal it can be as little as 30 minutes, but I would plan for 45 or so.
  16. Given that the ship needs to offload a few thousand people, refuel and restock the ship and load a new group of several thousand people, and sail again, they will make every effort to dock BEFORE the stated time. They have done this time or two, and plan these things to the minute. Generally, cruise line recommendations on flight times are conservative...people can make flights perhaps more than an hour earlier than recommended...although that might mean carrying off your own luggage and grabbing a cab.
  17. I would recommend an add on trip of 2 or 3 nights to explore Normandy...we did that about 10 years, and will be returning for the same idea next June. In either case, I would suggest looking into Overlord tours, mentioned here frequently, whether it be from your river boat, or while on a land trip. They are awesome, offer a number of tours. We used them for an 8 hour tour 10 years ago, and plan on using them for an 8 hour and a 6 hour tour next June.
  18. Some comparisons from a thread just a few days ago:
  19. As I recall, NS's color was a very dark color..
