  1. It probably means the ship arrives at 5am, and departs at midnight that night. Or, possibly a misprint.
  2. Not that bad. Just one person's point of view. I guess I resemble "adults who think they're still teens"...pretty disparaging for anybody who happens to like rock music, or was in the business in the 70s and 80s, like I was. Not sure why they need to disparage others of different views.
  3. And, the OP hasn't come back to clarify some serious misconceptions here...
  4. But the OP is here questioning things, and we don't have that info. Plus, expecting the basic person at Celebrity to know all the passport and visa issues is asking a lot. That is why you are responsible for those issues, not the cruise line.
  5. What ports are you going to? What are you doing on those ports that are tender ports? You may not need tender tickets in a tender port if you are not rushing ashore or using a ship excursion. Otherwise, you will be given directions on board as to how to get your tender tickets.
  6. Spent 18 days on N. Statendam in July and August. Never needed show reservations. HAL has never done show reservations.
  7. Well, as we don't know where this cruise is, and where it goes to, nobody is going to be able to give you an answer with confidence. Unless of course, a passport is obtained.
  8. The fog will be above your head most of the time, not pea soup. Yes, the temps will drop into the 50s. Of course, you didn't tell us when you will be in SF. Fog isn't a year around, or every day thing...for example, today (and for the last couple of days, and most likely the next few), it was crystal clear in SF. Spring and Fall are typically the least amount of fog.
  9. There is ABSOLUTELY no issue with doing the Panama Canal in the spring. It is a must see cruise, any time you can go.
  10. Welcome to Cruise Critic! Come over to the portion of Cruise Critic devoted to the West Coast departures, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/315-west-coast-departures/ Note, there are two ports, San Pedro/Port of LA, and Long Beach, so where you stay depends on which port. In either case, Uber would be first choice.
  11. Been to both. I would focus on Greenland and Iceland. But try for at least 2 ports in Greenland and Prinz Christen Sund, and at least 3 ports in Iceland.
  12. The cabana attendants are bar waiters, so, yes, they are part of the 18% tip pool, not the HSC grat pool.
  13. I would be doing some serious reading here for a couple reasons...first because "best" is totally subjective, and there is no one "best" for everyone. Second reason, there are a number of choices in routes...7 day around Hawaii (NCL only), 10 day one way to or from Vancouver, or 15-18 day round trips from various West Coast ports. The cruise lines you are familiar with will have similar products on this cruise. So what you like about XXX cruise line, you will still see on a Hawaii cruise. You want a sea condition report for 12 months? Really? First, the trips from West Coast to Hawaii generally only run October to April. (Noted, Princess has at least one summer cruise. Second, seas can be rough any time, anywhere. Third, it is commonly discussed here that the first 48 hours or so departing the West Coast, and the last 48 hours returning to the West Coast, can be a bit rough at times. Excursions are ALL about your interests. What is "best" is what interests you.
  14. Uber has an estimator software on their website. You could stay in Ft Lauderdale, then go to the ship the next day.
  15. As frequently discussed here, many of these things will be on the invoice you should have got when booking. Who did you book with? Some will be visible if you sign into your account with HAL, like assigned dining time and coverage of the crew appreciation. Somethings, like OBC in your account, will be visible on the Navigator app when you board. The bed situation can be handled once on board. The dining time, if not satisfactory, can be addressed on boarding. When you submit The Stockholder's Credit request, make sure you request an e mail confirming the assignment of the OBC. That will be your documentation.
  16. It would be pretty easy o do this your self. The Alcatraz ferry is literally the next dock to the north. BOOK THAT EARLY. Hop on Hop off will stop at the cruise ship terminal. If its a port stop, you have a pretty good shot at the 8am tour.
  17. Take a look over at the Florida Departures board. Couple recent discussions over there.
  18. Because nobody is doing the Ensenada to or from Hawaii trips, I intentionally didn't mention them. Celebrity tried, but I think the logistics made it too complicated. I am very much aware of that option. There were also, in the past, options to do Acapulco to Hawaii. Again, not being offered, I didn’t mention it.
  19. You can't go to Mexico and have all the food and drink you want, included? Paying extra for a meal plan isn't all inclusive.
  20. You might want to read these two current, very active threads, as they have relevant info:
  21. Outside baggage claim. Why not take a cab? Cheaper, easier, faster.
  22. Yes, several. HAL, Princess, Celebrity, Carnival, RCI all do West Coast to Hawaii roundtrips. Any one way trip would have to either begin, or end in Vancouver, per legal requirements. Lost of info here, and on the Hawaii board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/37-hawaii/
